Thank you very much Lloyd. Installation works flawlessly on 2018 Kia Soul Base with a 6 speed manual transmission. You can buy the part from the dealer if you like but do yourself a favor and just provide them with the part numbers that you want them to order and don't provide any additional information like year, model and that you want to add Cruise control. If you do, don't be disappointed when they give you a stupid reaction. As far as the airbag connector make sure you lift the Orange Tabs on top of the Yellow and blue connectors; this releases the connectors. 1. Official Part description " 56190-B2400 - Extension Wire" and the part number "K 56190 B2400". The cost at the dealer is around $71.24 and since it is a special order they can get it for you in a couple of days. 2. Official Part Description “96700-B2100AUN SWITCH ASSY STR - STRG Remote Cont RH”. The cost at the dealer $24.64 NOTE: DO NOT buy the “56190-B2910 - Extension Wire” that cable uses a completely different base connector for heated steering wheels and it will not work on the Kia Soul 2018 Base Model.

Thank you! I was able to follow the video and install cruise control on my 2016 Kia Soul Base M/T. My only problem was that the steering wheel was stuck and took a lot of force to remove. When I yanked it off, the clockspring cable was caught and the clock spring came apart. I had to buy a new clock spring ($107 including tax and shipping) but I now have a working cruise control. I think he should mention on the video not to take the nut completely off - just turn it until it's no more than halfway out, then pull on the steering wheel. Or use a puller.

I have the base 2016 soul manual transmission and I bought a used steering wheel on ebay with cruise and it was just a swap out. I did have to swap the trip switch because that was different but it has a plug In so it was just a swap. Works excellent.

I have a 2017 kia soul lx, non-heated. I found a switch and wiring harness on eBay but it states that it is only for the heated version steering wheel...will it work? No it will not work. This is an edit, I installed the wire harness and the module into my 2016 Kia Soul, totally works and it made it so much more fun to drive on trips. also love the 35+ MPG. Get the harness from eBay, I spent about $80 for the harness and module. good luck!

Hi Everyone. The Cruise Installation in fact will work on any 2014/2015/2016/2017 Kia Soul Base with 6-Speed Manual Transmission. The Heated Extension Wire will Not Work without modification as another viewer has mentioned. I found this extension wire on ebay and just finished installing in my 2015 Kia Soul Base w 6-Speed Manual. Search for this wire on ebay ' KIA-OEM-14-17-Soul-Steering-Wheel-Wire-56190B2400' The installation went pretty smooth thanks to Loyd's video. The most difficult task was disconnecting the airbag blue & yellow connectors. My installation took about 45 minutes. Hope that helps

Because I just found a part where they sell you only the buttons (because I would need Cruise Control and the Bluetooth Ones) and the idea is to buy these ones and pay the wire you bought... Hi Manuel Rico - The cruise control switch that I bought did NOT come with the Wire. I did some research and found the correct wire part number that is in fact sold on Ebay. The bluetooth buttons are already present on your 2014-2017 Kia Soul, it's plug N play. Just order with the part number that I listed and you should be fine. Even if the Cruise control comes with a wire, it will NOT work without modification. It's easier, not cheaper, to order the correct wire now that we know the correct part # from Kia. We ordered a used steering column in it's entirety rather than parts so it was a bit of a lucky find. Try your local salvage or ebay.

Hi Lloyd I got a 2010 Magentis (OPTIMA) and my current harness have only audio wires, and missing 3 wires in the white connector pins that are supposed to go to the cruise button. I can't find the harness anywhere, even with PART NO, KORAPS etc... you have any suggestions? I ordered harness for 2006-2012 CARNIVAL since it look in the picture the same as mine, hope it would work, but i hope you have a suggestion if it doesnt. p.s. are you sure in that year i have all the parts except for the wires and button in the steering? (i know i have an electronic throttle and pedals switches that stop the cruise)

It should be pretty similar to the one in the video. Modern Kia (post 2008?) have the software as part of the BCM if you can find the right cruise control part / harness / buttons.

All Kias have the software in the computer. You can get the steering wheel controls for your car and use a similar process to install it

I think you instruction is fine and you video is well made. However, from what I have experienced you must have a model which was already compatible with cruise control via the type of clockspring in the vehicle; one which is already made for cruise control. In the Kia Soul Base model which I have the clockspring is not compatible with the cable required for cruise control. From what I have seen on eBay the cruise clockspring connections to not match the connections on the available wiring harness, both supposedly for cruise on this model. The wire harness I purchased for cruise does not match my clockspring. Do you have any insight or experience with a resolution on this issue?

The ones I've done haven't had issues but that doesn't mean there won't be variations between model years or regions. I'm not sure how to avoid it beyond asking questions when buying parts and it sounds like you've done that.

yeah the way to unhook those connectors and rehook the new harness is ONE CONNECTOR AT A TIME! do NOT remove all of them at once as he's done here because these connectors are identical. The way to distinguish the harness is by these connector "breakout" LOCATIONS. The new harness of course has FOUR female connectors (one new one for the cruise control assy). The other thing you could do is use a piece of masking tape and place "dots" on same so they match up to the same breakout locations on both the old and new harness. In this way you could remove all the old connectors and THEN install the new harness by matching tapes.

When I looked up the parts list i could only find one clock spring for all Kia Souls. You could use a multi-meter and see if the pins make connection through the steering column

I have researched the wiring harness. The basic is 56190-B2300 and is useless with the cruise control. The no heater version for cruise control seen in the video is 56190-B2400. The steering wheel heater version is 56190-B2910 and is what you may find often on Ebay listings (as I did by mistake). The solution is Kia parts web site search steering wheel.

In today's cars, there is no more cable going from the gas pedal to the Throttle Body, as your gas pedal sends a signal to your throttle body to increase speed when the gas pedal is depressed. Installed the cruise control back in January - Just buy the Switch + the Cable and install - it will work flawlessly. I have listed the parts needed in post below.l Hope that helps... Cruise part # 96700 B2100aun Heated Wire 56190B2910, had two saw the wire apart and grind down the lower plastic guide, but fit like a charm. You will know. it had a longer connector, most people will return the part as it will not fit until the extra power cable is separated.
