Kia EV6 Tips - Hidden SCC/HDA feature

Quick note on this. When linked to driving mode the colour changes, so it shows blue(ish) for Eco and Normal, but change driving mode to Sport and the colour changes to red to match the dash - fun to see the little distance dashes red also.

I like your tips. Very good. I have another question. In the new Niro and Sportage is it possible to put the navigation screen in a day modus. But is this also possible in the EV6? I found out that both screens can put in a black modus or a day modus. But only a day modus for the navigation screen or map screen have I not found. Is this correct? Or did I miss something? Sorry for my bad English. I'm a Dutch man.

So if you're in sport and in the blue mode, it will accelerate as in sport. If you're in eco or normal that way too . Thats how i understand the difference. As if its in white mode its the basic slow acceleration etc?

I can’t tell the difference.Just acceleration & braking style.Will have to investigate further.

@@evodessey I need to test this my self, but I will guess you feel a bigger difference when you are in sport mode. Maybe the acceleration and breaking are a bit more aggressive when in "drive mode" setting.. thanks for the info - nice shortcut to know of.

I have a question. I use to have a KIA Sportage KX3. An whilst in navigation I could plan a tour, but with the Sportage I could save the tour. With the EV6, I have the plan a tour selection but I cannot work out how to save it? Do you know if this exists?

I know you've said you couldn't feel any difference in practice, but do you know what the difference between the two modes is, in theory? I don't really understand what 'based on your driving style' is supposed to mean...

No i’ve not but i’ve not been looking.If they enabled the onboard wireless i’d be happy to use it though.

Yes,one mode is based on learned driving style from the driver and the other pre-baked driving in the the driving mode.

Hello sir, because you knows everything about de EV6, I will ask you something. I have also a Kia EV6 with rear motor. But I saw something remarkable at the coverplate from the rear bumper. From the rear wheels you see the electro motor. With my arm I can touch the engine. The coverplate under the rear side off the car is very open. Only a little peace under the engine is covered, but rain/water can get to the engine. Is the coverplate, which is very open, for cooling the electric engine? Will this (rain/water) not damage the engine? Maybe have you seen this at your EV6. Sorry for this strange question. And sorry for my bad English. I'm a Dutch man.

Your English is excellent.10000% better than my Dutch😂. My car has a cover on the rear motor.I’ve just had a quick look at a Sandy Munro tear down video and they don’t show a cover.If i get chance tomorrow i will jack mine up on my trolley jack and do a quick video.

I thought it switches between SCC and CC, smart versus non-smart cruise control.

Maybe on a Kona or e-Niro but not on the EV6.It was that setting on the e-Niro that started me looking.

I would love to be able to switch from SCC to a good old-fashioned 'pick a speed and stick to it' mode.

@@alexboyce1469 Just found this in the manual: If your vehicle is equipped with Manual Speed Limit Assist, press and hold the Driving Assist ( ) button to turn off Smart Cruise Control. However Manual Speed Limit Assist will turn on.
