KIA Key - A Repair Film

This KIA key just fell apart, the key blade divorced the remote head and they have since separated, with a little counselling from Dr Lock and an new roll pin the two have become one again

I just got the same tool a couple of months ago. I think that the punch units should have a pin like post that allows it to be inserted in the pin hole for easier servicing. you shouldn't have to struggle with twezzers and that nice hammer you have. Magnet fits underneath and is for parts retention (split pins). Should look at getting the Honda ign tool from Lock Tek , it works well but you have to follow instructions exactly. You guessed it, since it has instructions it is from USA.

Nathan in my experience the Pliers are much easier to use than those Vices, the pins from memory can be either 1.6 or 2mm. If the key head is flogged out its just easier to do a new blade & replace the holder(some of the Hyundai's are the same unit). I really should be putting more effort into doing videos to help people!

Hi Michael, I will have to get the pliers, the clamp too is not the best, I have already snapped one of the pin pinches, too soft, I was told this key was for an Iload, they must be using the same remote
