Another great road trip. I really wish the governments kept hybrids for a while before dumping petrol and diesel fully. Hybrids are the best way forward for now :) Thank you both :)

Drove my 2022 pre- facelift model on a 220 mile round trip and got 60.4mpg. Put it in sport mode and floor it and it is pretty quick

Diesels have higher mpg on average than petrol cars

They do, however some of the best economy has been achieved by Petrol, one extreme XL1, thank you Authorified

@@PlanetautoUK And thanks for the entertaining review... they seem to have run out of hybrids in the States, and while supposedly still being manufactured until next month, I couldn't find one in a nationwide search. Here they've got this new trick, dealer website show stock (even offer VINs) but them have them labelled (in small print) as "in transit" or other such term. I wonder how many dealerships are showing those same VINs? 🙃

Pointless electric vehicles. All fuelled by petrol.

For many it is the perfect transition vehicle. Not everyone is ready (or able) to go fully electric yet, so this is a sensible step forward for a lot of people. *A

@@PlanetautoUK This is a con that you seem to have fallen for, the same as many people. Converting petrol to electricity and then using the electricity to drive the car, buy the laws of physics, must be less efficient than just using a petrol engine to directly drive the car. It is a simple con, lie, gimmick by car manufacturers to keep selling petrol engines, exhausts, etc, and increases prices by installing pointless batteries and electric motors. The claimed mpg figures are based on impossible driving that people cannot replicate in real life. The same with PHEVs that can only provide heat by running the petrol engines and the new MeV engine combinations. Do you not agree that we are being mislead?
