It's 2022 and my Optima is a 2013. I had to put VERY LIGHT pressure on the screws as I took the out for them to back out. If I pushed too hard they wouldn't start to unscrew.

What kind of headlights do you have that are giving the blue color? Are they factory, LED, HID, just a replacement halogen bulb? If replacement, are they the H11B that are in my 2015 and what kind/brand?

Thanks for your interest, those are Factory HID lamps that was on the car when purchased new in 2013.

AGlobal LLC Ok, gotcha. I just got a 2015 Optima that only has halogen bulbs. The bulbs I have always used in my previous cars “Phillips Diamond Vision” which I highly recommend to anyone, are not available in the odd H11B Optima size. Now I’m left trying to find some replacement bulbs that have a good bright white light and with a bit of nice blue hue to them. If anyone out there has any recommendations of an H11B size that fit what I’m looking for, shoot me a message. Thanks for your response!

I'm guessing your probably looking for a bulb with a 5000 to 6000 color temp. Maybe try searching a bulb color temp chart and compare it to other color temps. 3K would be white wheras a 5K bulb goes into the blue range. Hope this helps. Higher temp or brighter fogs lights tend to burn out quicker. Although its buyer preference it can steer you towards what your ultimate preferences are. Hope this helps...

There isn’t one - it’s ran directly off the cars canbus IPS module. It’s a pain when it goes out usually there’s no easy fix for it besides replacing the whole module.

Just replaced the fog lights on my 2013 kia Optima. Fog lights only turn on when all the lights are on. I can't figure out why the fog lights won't turn on just by themselves like they used to? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

For my 2013 KIA Optima, I rotate the 1/2 inch sleeve, on the turn signal lever ,on its axis until the white painted arrow points to the fog light symbol. In order to activate the fog lights only, I then rotate the turn signal arm to point it's arrow to the downward aimed light-beam signal. That works for me...hope it works for you as well!

I bought my 2011 kia optima used... we tried to replace our driver side low beam only to find out it was HID Ballast bulbs... but now there seems to be a short on that side.. what can by done to get back the original unit??

I can’t get the 3 clips removed. I believe all 3 must be stripped because the Phillips head rotates but doesn’t come out. Frustrating

Haven't had this verified by the dealership but I read (can't remember where) that they are controlled by a computer cluster that has multi functionality & would run a few hundred after labor. I can't justify that with my current job. Maybe down the road. If I find the article I'll post the link

For a shot on this one I would say check your switch settings first then check both Bulbs, then check Fog light relays under the hood. Just a thought. Hope this helps

Luis diaz - yes it was installed, I'd recomend to do both fog lights on your kia optima even though the other may be working. They usually go out at around the same time within a couple months of each other to save time.
