I've recently been very intrigued by Korean car companies.. Genesis, Kia and Hyundai.. and this video pretty much sums it up. It seems like they're really amping up the performance aspect of their cars aside from their awesome designs!

Kia here in Sweden did grow with the Ceed and Sportage from car brand u never saw to a car everywhere. And u only lost a couple of 1000£ over 3y due to 7y warranty.

@@marcco954 yeah, it makes no sense that the guy didn't talk about the Stinger, since it was already out in 2018 in Korea. Hyundai did start the N line in Korea is 2016, so perhaps it was badged, I couldn't tell if the styling was the same, but I read the Veloster N did come out in Korea in 2018, so it's weird that he was tight lipped about Kia models with motors beyond the 1.6 turbo if this was in 2018. They already had released the Optima 2.0 turbo in 2016 and that put out 241 hp. Maybe he was just referring to that particular model they were being shown, who knows.

This has to be pretty old, since the Stinger launched overseas around 2017, with the 3.3 liter turbo model being the top of the line putting out 370 hp. They also had a 2016 Optima GT that put out 241 hp from a 2.0 4 cyl liter turbo. Hyundai already had the Genesis coupe back in 2008 in Korea then 09 in the US. Yeah, the Genesis coupes are nice, and sedans. The new K5 GT 2.5 liter is quick also.

Nah bro, theyre comparable. Just look at the Stinger. And they have a lot of Germans flocking over to Korea to work with Korean engineers and designers because of mutual respect and admiration between them.

Stinger is better value for money than equivalent German model and better car is many ways. Standard features are incredible. Have you seen the spec as standard, especially for UK market? German cars start at base price and then they charge for almost everything else, even things that should really be standard. Just a con

I do not know where you get your information. How many manufacturers give a 7 year warranty to start of with? I live in South Africa. Here a car suffers every thing you can imagine. From normal heavy traffic daily commutes to long distance high speed travel. Gravel roads, good roads, bad roads, gravel roads, wet, dry extreme heat and cold, yet there is plenty of Kia's older than 20 years still going strong and if I may add still trading for high values on the used car market, 20 year old Kia easily reaches $1500+ on the SA market.

@@JJSmith1100 I had a 2001 Hyundai Accent and travelled a lot of Australia in it with no problems at all.........................Now I have a new Kia Stinger GT V6 Twin Turbo and is the best car I have ever driven.

@@qikdraw67 I also have a KIA Stinger--going one one year with my 2020 AWD 3.3TT--not a hiccup and I have driven it in 2 inches of rain and taken it to the drag--the AWD could rip a 12.7 98 in the quarter and can handle going the speed limit in a downpour with flooded roads. No hiccups yet and I knew they did a lot of torture test on the stinger--btw my Stinger has a 10 year warranty--100k--can no beat that. KIA--Hyundai--is also a big steel producer and in house makes a lot of parts which leads to much better quality.I am all for local business--but american car companies major reliability issues come for sub par parts they get from third party manufacturers--In one case ford got a bad batch of 5.0 mustang blocks and built thousands of cars with the block and many had failures--even videos on here and Ford would battle folks over fixing them.
