Venue is not cheaper...as you mentioned there is Rs. 1.2 Lakh difference in price...but you forgot to mention that Hyundai does not offer Petrol DCT in top model which is SX Plus Optional...they offer Petrol DCT only in SX Plus which is 2nd top...! While Kia offers the same Petrol DCT in GTX+ which is their absolute top model...so i think the price difference is justified...if Hyundai Venue Petrol DCT would have been available in top model...the prices would be more or less the same of both the cars...!

Get the non-turbo sonet/venue. The Nexon(or any of the new Tata cars) is only 2-3 years old...still has a long way to go before reliability is proven. Hyundai has much more experience engineering and building the drivetrain components.

As far as I seen reviews here is my answers 1. Venue for space for 3 and sonet for height...venue is better 2.same mileage... But venue would have a better mileage because the power is linear unlike sonet which is very responsive 3.if u are willing to buy a lower variant of sonet then the practicality is basically same...kia provides more feel good features for cars like air freshener to vacuum cleaner if you want to 4.venue has a high ground here because Hyundai is known for their low ownership cost but I don't think kia is expensive tho

I dont get why ppl are bothered by mileage when its literally the same engine, chasis nd gearbox... Its obviously going to be close... And a 1-2kmpl difference isnt a big deal if we drive sensibly... Indians mostly drive rash (thats the problem)... if we drive in a relaxed manner, we can get the much needed mileage we want from the cars.

The greatest advantage ,that venue got , is the large net work of service centers.But sonet has got very limited service centers.A sonet owner has to drive kms to get service, as they had only city oriented limited service centers.

Hyundai has been in the market for a really long time now. Be it i10s,i20s, Santro and creta they are here with service centres and showrooms even in the remote areas. Kia will need an extensive plan and that too with the service centers ready to deal with customer issues,that are way too much with Indian customers. Also, 1.2 lakh is a deal breakers. So go with Hyundai. It has refined over the years.

But honestly most videos really are somewhat misleading, and I won't blame them. The only demo car kia provides is the top trim. I've seen 20-25 videos on the sonet, and just 2-3 videos like this video really spoke about the feature bias based on variant. Say if u have a 10lakh budget, u admire the car and go to showroom to take a look. Interior wise the base and mid variant are totally different cars comparing to the top variant they show in videos. U get almost none of the features u get in the top tier sonet.. Really makes u feel so.......poor 😔 I was honestly disappointed when I took a look at the showroom 😔😔

It doesn’t make sense to spend more than 10 lakh for a compact SUV. If you want to buy any one of these go for mid variant which costs 9.9 lakh ex showroom. You will save a lot on tax and you will get all the basic features like 8 inch music system, sun roof, iMT, traction control. Being said that, decision between these 2 boils down to your opinion on looks. Some might like Sonet and some might like Venu.

Venue DCT 13.2 lac on road and Sonet 14.7 lacs. Except ventilated seat other features are very much negotiable. As far as looks is a concern, soon Venue will age quicker to eyes because of its rear design. Sonet front is ok but better than Venue and the rear design will never get old.

For me Venue is better than sonnet.Venue Turbo manual is available for 9.60 lakh on road which sonnet dosen't offer.Venue is really more Economical.

venue with 190 ground clearance is not practical in remote areas, you will stuck and have to sleep in forest in many towns and state.. Kia with 205 ground clearance is the sweet spot

What ever Sonet has, I would prefer a seltos or creta mid variants or one less to top variant to the Sonet. The pricing is quite high for such a small car where you could practically only sit 4 people. You could instead go for a comfortable sedan or the bigger SUV for Sonets top variants. Having said that, Hyundia has placed the Venue more or less at the right price bracket & loadded it with features and that's why I feel it is a better value for money preposition in this comparison.
