Wish I found this video $1500 ago. I changed my alternator, break sensor, engine temp sensor, battery, and a few other things. I think you hit it on the mail with this one. Kia…what a terrible design. Thanks man!

Saludos, mi guagua kia sedona 2011 me paso lo mismo, cambie alternador y batería, continuaba con el problema, veo tú video y le puse una placa de metal a lo que compro el fusible, note que cuando utilizo el a/c con luces el fusible se calienta mucho, no veo que esté rotor, pero quizás lo esté, gracias tank you!

Wow! thank you same Vehicle i was about to go same as your problem but i did not know there was a Fuse there i wasn't reading manual. i was about to get new Alternator which is 2 year old battery new just bought one i was planning to replace Battery terminal, But i did not know there was a Fuse there thank you so much maybe it will help me Today.

Having the alternator located anywhere near the bottom of the car is either careless or planned in order to get you to the Service Department over and over again. Its too viable to oil /antifreeze /and water from puddles etc and will short easier. Ford and Dodge have the alternator located on top and easy to change too.

I replaced the alternator 4-5 months ago on this type on vehicle. I will say it's a true bitch to replace. You have to remove the AC compressor, unbolt the motor mounts, unbolt the subframe from the motor. Then use a small jack and jack the motor up and the subframe down to get it out. The guy engineered this needs his head examined.

i just replaced the alternator and battery car bearly starts but dies and trying to drive just drives when its a new battery for not long when i take off the positve off the battery it dies is it the fues or is it something else ???

I changed the battery and alternator and finally discovered it was the fuse on the positive terminal. I could NOT find that fuse anywhere and had to go to a junkyard to get one. Now there is oil leaking on the alternator and the alternator is dying.

Can you please tell me how to reset and get the heat in the radio when the wipers start working again after a change in the fuse on the battery replaced in the battery replaced in the alternator similar to what you want done the only difference I can figure out how to get the radio wipers and the heat to start working again

Hi, on another note similar to this video on my battery ground cable. I think I have the same car as yours in the video. Do you know if the negative battery cable from the battery post, goes into the fuse box junction (removing fuse box cover), then another cable goes from there to ground on the chassis or frame?? I had a bad grounding problem at the end of the cable that goes from the fusebox to the screw in the chassis, cleaned off the corrosion then screwed it back in the chassis. This was 2 years ago. Was working Good since until today. Now the car won't start, but making a lot of clicking, and the battery is fully charged. Could this be the same problem I was having before with grounding issues at the end of the cable?? Anyone else? Thank You in advance! Also, the battery is charging correctly as well...new alternator put in a few months ago because it burned out.

Check you starter and battery connection. You can t bang on the starter too se if the car 🚗 starter

Interesting. I had a dead battery in my 2008 sorento. Battery was bad. OK. I checked the alternator at the store, it seemed fine. We replaced the battery, all was ok. Two months later, tonight driving home in the rain, the brake and battery warning lights came on and off and on etc. Tomorrow, I will check that fuze. If fuze is OK, then I will just replace the alternator. If fuze is blown, well, I will replace the alternator and also replace the fuze. The battery box and wires all looked good, car is clean and was very well maintained.

Yeah my 2009 sorento did that now my car is dead isnt the battery thoe becaise all lights still come on just wont start it starting showing brake and batt light and sgutting off my heater while driving now my battery is drained

Erick Garcia Yes I’m going through the same problem right now with a 2008 Kia for us to drain my battery change the battery same problem then the store was saying that in my alternator is bad Just change the alternator take my old alternator back to the store now they’re saying that the alternator is fine the old one and that my old battery is fine also now come to find out the fuse is bad on the battery so I’m trying to find the fuse to buy will keep updated if it works

@@jamiejones8109 I replaced the alternator and all has been fine for over one year. I did look over the wires, the big fuze etc. My engine compartment was very clean and had been well maintained. The alternator did check out Bad the second time I went to the store. So it was intermittent. I had the right idea to check the alternator before replacing the battery, and it showed good, but really wasn't that good. Bottom line is once you get some bad things happening, you just have to monitor things closer. In retrospect, I should have run some wires from the alternator outputs into the inside of my car and hooked a voltmeter or voltage gauge. Cheap fix to replace idiot lights or crude VDC indicators the car comes from
