Great review John. Would you consider the Haval H6 Hybrid (you recently tested) NVH, drive train and hybrid ICE transition implementation be better ? We know the Kia ride and handling is superior.

When talking about the interior I don't want to be looking at the presenter for 2mins

KIA trully makes better looking cars compared to Hyunday or Toyota and the Sorento is no different. Interior is well appointed and welcoming. Another catch for Kia. Great review again, keep'em coming!

Far better proposition that Kluger imo! The interior alone is a seller compared to outdated Toyota infotainment! Yep the service interval is pretty short thou!

I have a question. GT Line diesel here for just under 69000 dollars. 2022 model. Yet I see on car sales dealers asking 95000 for the same car. Whats the deal? How can this be legal?

$69k plus on road cost. Also, you need to wait over 1 year

Dealers can sell it over RRP for a brand new car, but they can register it first and they can sell it as used for whatever price they want. That's a trick that dealers play these days.

I just love the rear three quarter angle. It does look a bit more like an MPV though. Great Review!

The only thing I dislike is the infotainment, they should had the EV6 infotainment and it would be a banger! Just make it more lux aswell.

Great review, very extensive, keep it up! Wondering what the difference between the 2 drive modes Eco vs Smart are if you've noticed?

Hi John, Great review, is there a big difference in this vs the AWD version? There is little difference in fuel consumption between diesel and hybrid; why would someone go for the hybrid?
@waynehooton61542 жыл бұрын
So many transmission problems with the diesel's DCT.

Just stick the all electric drivetrain in this car and it would be a must buy.

Before on-road costs which vary dramatically state by state.
@waynehooton61542 жыл бұрын
If you gonto the kia price and build configurator you will see no drive away discounting being offered for the hybrids. So its rrp plus $5 - 6k on roads depending upon which state you are in.

My 22 kia Sorento hybrid s AWD has been in the shop since may 25th and kia has yet to come buy the POS back. In the mean time I'm driving a 2020 Sportage which really is a POS. I no longer love my Kia products and this was my second one.

Having a Santa fe 22 and a Sorento 21 (wifey) - both diesel - it puzzles me that the sorento gets more media attention than the hyundai one. The santa fe is much superior IM. Makes me wonder if those are paid to review? - Go figure!
@chasingcars2 жыл бұрын
That would be because Kia has massively staggered the launch of the Sorento (diesel drop, then petrol drop, then PHEV drop, now hybrid drop) not because anyone is being ‘paid’
@TimothyPoitras2 жыл бұрын
Santa Fe is a guzzler (10.5 combined, 14.7 urban, 8.1 extra urban) since no HEV option (yet) in Australia. And it has a tiny 3rd row seating area.

Which you'd make back in 5 years, since the Sorento HEV is $9k more than the petrol-only in the GT line
@zoltrix77792 жыл бұрын
This car is over priced sure, but come on, if you are in the market for a new 7 seat SUV these days in top trim, it costs $70k regardless of what is powering it. I wouldn't pay it, but thats the reality, nothing to do with fuel savings.
