"It has a new front end, but basically this is the same Highlander you've seen for a while." Dang Nathan, love your guys' channel, but the misinformation was pretty strong in this one! That is absolutely NOT true. The Highlander was completely redesigned inside & out for the 2020 model year. The previous generation Highlander Hybrid used a V6, the current one uses a 4 cylinder. & the entire exterior & interior are not even remotely similar between the previous generation & the current one.

Maybe late for comments, but the Kia now offers AWD. Now, after returning from a very long trip with the wife and two kids (4 and 7) and having lots of family on my destination, I could benefit from having a 6 or 7 passenger vehicle. I currently own a cx5 which we like how it drives, but for long trips it's cramped and once we got to my wife's parents we struggled with space since just to move around we had to sit the kids on their laps (not legal o know) since they are a older couple who don't own a vehicle. So having a set of captain seats works great for long hours and those small third row seats are actually meant for kids, so they should be marketed as such

The diesel only comes in mid trim level and loses out on cooled memory seats, the moonroof and the all round cameras. Pretty much everything else is included though, including rear seat climate controls and vents, which you don't get. The doors are great, because they extend down and cover the sills, so you don't get your trousers or legs plastered with cow shit, or any other shit, when getting in and out.

I went to the dealer and got into them myself and this is what I concluded. The Kia feels brighter, more modern and clean. The Highlander feels like a low level Lexus. The Kia is high on looks and technology, but low on utility. In the end I concluded I’ll wait for a new Honda Pilot.

Korea vs Japan...tough call.

Contrary to popular belief, Japanese doesn’t mean reliable. My former Subaru can testify to that.

I’d buy a KIA if they’d build a full size suv to compete with Tahoe & Expedition

They do...it's called the Telluride

@@interkaiser44 Telluride is a great SUV, but it's not comparable to an Expedition in any way.

3rd seat... 2 adults or 3 Tommy's 😂😂... 3rd seat room should now always be defined by how many Tommy's would fit.

Also, for some reason, Highlanders have always have ugly ass rear lower ends. It needs a proper set of dual exhaust

Can you load a boat in these vehicles? Would it not short circuit the car? 😆

No one will get kia over Toyota.

I did l, matter of fact I bought a Telluride and a Sorento. Toyota can't hold a candle to what Kia now offers. Plus the Kia warrenty is much better. We test drove a highlander and a Telluride. No comparison.

@@MarkSaunders1 ok but reliability and resell value???
@MarkSaunders13 жыл бұрын
@@legendman97 kia ranks just as high (if not higher) as Toyota in reliability now and their warranty is better. As far as resale goes I keep my cars on average for 10 years so that is not an issue. Plus my car has a 10 year 100k bumper to bumper warranty so all is good. 😊
