Kia Soul Review

The small SUV segment is very popular in the UK market, with cars such as the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur proving a strong choice. But what if you don't facny either of those - could the Kia Soul be a worthy alternative?

I really do think your reviews are pitched perfectly, not too short, not too long. The aspects of the vehicle covered are more than enough to let any prospective buyer form a pretty sound first impression upon which to proceed with further inquiries or not. I specifically sought out reviews of the Soul and yours has been really helpful, one of the very best in fact, in my opinion. I particularly agree with you regarding the Level 2 spec as being the best balance of standard kit available in relation to the price. Keep up the good work and thanks a lot, cheers!

Thanks for a great review. Do you know what kind of automatic gearbox is available with the petrol 1.6. Is it a cvt or dual clutch or just a regular box ?

The tranny's are powerteck built in Ga.for all Kia,s very smooth and built strong ,downshift just a little guick and not as smooth into 1st gear!Otherwise the torque and speed is balanced very well!!

Yes, very aerodynamic ;) Although, having said that, it's not as noisy as you might expect on the motorway.

Not really a fan of the SUV or what ever they are called these day's. More of a hatch back fan.Never been a fan of the Range Rover or big 4x4s really or AWD as its called now ;)

Why do the Europeans get better colors on the Kia Soul than we do here in the US? Not fair. You get the attractive black painted roof that looks gorgeous with the red paint and black bumper. We get stupid looking WHITE painted roofs with ugly root beer brown and shiny plastic black stupid looking trim that doesn't even go with the white roof. The black roof with red or blue paint looks awesome and makes it look like a sports car. WHY CANT WE GET THAT HERE??? AND WHY DO OUR BUICK ENCORES (Opel Mokka) have a little "chicken leg" armrest while the European version gets the full middle console for both passenger and driver???? WHY IS IT LIKE THIS??? It's like the car makers are crapping on Americans and dumbed down Americans have no clue they are getting all the shitty offerings from these psycho car makers.
