in about 10 years, I think the Kia stinger will be one of those rare gems that everyone wished they had. As more and more cars begin to lose the "human" aspects to them with everything in the car becoming electronic or automated, we will look back at this car the same way we look back at classic muscle cars, or even just 90's Japanese sports cars and other stuff like manual transmissions.

The Tribute edition is excellent, but even "regular" versions are great as well. I am driving my second Stinger (the first was MY2019, now 2023) and I never looked back. What I like about Kia is the perfect combination of sporty style, functionality, and usability. Love its hatch, more than once people were surprised to see how much stuff fits into its trunk. So sad to not see further evolution of this model.

Purchased a '22 GT2 fully loaded in the fall of '21 at a price point between invoice and MSRP. And five years financing at 0% interest. It'll be two years old with only 3,200 miles. Best bang-for-buck.

Honestly, this car is the best from Kia. Especially for reliability. I have been reviewing forums and other cars like telluride and sorento have reliability problems. I had one sorento 2021 and leftme in the middle of the road without power. Lemon. I had 2 Kia stingers in the past and no problems. Only a rattle from the sunroof. I now have a GT2 2023, and it has been the best car I have ever had.

I can 100% agree with the dealership issue. I went to try to buy a used stinger at my local dealer. They told me I couldn't test drive it without running my credit to see if I was approved for it. I ended up buying 1 from a guy on Facebook marketplace. But the stinger is great. I wanna upgrade to a 2023 from my 2018, but it doesn't make any sense financially

Did you press and hold the TCS button? It will deactivate SCS if you held it long enough. Then the launch control becomes active, it will even beep when its ready to go.

For the stinger there's 2 launch gates. There's Launch Control Ready, and Launch Control Active. It will beep for both gates. It sounded like you went into LCR and started your pull before LCA. The stinger isn't going to win any 0-60 awards against purpose-built, ground-up performance cars. But it's still nice as a reliable grand tourer that you can daily to your heart's content.

The final version of the 440i m performance edition also came in a limited number matte (frozen) silver spec... before it was replaced by the i4M50. Hurts to see another enthusiast car be walked out by an EV. Like the f-series, buy one before its gone:(

As much as I adore this car, it’s pretty dumb of Kia to not have added additional horsepower and/or tuned exhaust or something performance-wise on this Tribute Edition. It just makes you ask yourself why you would get this one (and most likely pay extra) over a regular GT2.

⁠​⁠@@mintchevvv1834I think it’s a valid complaint…should’ve tuned it to get to 400hp to make it really worth it. Dealers are charging crazy markups taking the price to German levels. It’s pretty much only the Charger Scat Pack that has more hp at that price. I’m not saying I’d take that boat over a Stinger but there are other options if you’re willing to lose the hatch and get a smaller sedan.

Kia’s headlamps are all over the place, they should have had a blanket implementation for a good design as those in the Kia Forte. I bet if the Stinger had had those instead of the small little lamps that it sports it would have sold heaps.

Such a shame for such a great car no one ever drove lol. Kia's needs a new marketing department. Which sheds it's old world view. I have a K5 GT-Line which is no Stinger.
