Hey I have a question how did you remove the chrome pieces that are in the hatch.

Ya they simply pop up. There's is a pin though on one end of each pieces. Should be nearest the roof. Start at the end nearest the trunk and pull up evenly. But do not pull up at the roof end (it need to slip off the pin)

Let the dealer repair it or remove the nuts from inside, resilicone it and wait fully for it to cure
