I went as well, and agree the show was one of the best I’ve ever seen . It’s so crazy now with everything happening though, but I still can’t deny it when I saw the show in Philly back in 1997., that it was one of the best shows I have ever been to.. The artists in that lineup were my absolute favorites and when I think of every single artist that was there in one show, it’s crazy. All of those artists, , I would have seen them on their own , they were that good. But to have them all in one show, was just insane . Truly one of the best I’ve ever been to. I can’t lie though, I feel weird saying that now knowing what is going down with Diddy.

This is when we had real rappers, this was real hip hop, it was authentic. 90's rappers actually took their craft seriously and worked hard. Where 2020's rappers are fake and bubblegum , water down trash, all they can do is talk about sex and twerk and being vulgar, same of sh**. Everybody is doing the same thing now, where as back then 90's rappers, no matter what coast they were on, everyone had their own original style of how they perform, rap, dress, etc. These days all you have to do is be a certain skin color, get butt implants, dress half naked , perfom sex acts on stage , twerk, and be vulgar, these days, you do not need talent, just need to be the most vulgar you can be and sell your soul and respect.

I’m not sure if every show had same lineup but at my show in Philly in 1997 I know we had : Sisqo, Mya, Lil Kim, Foxxy Brown, Busta Rhymes, Usher, Mase, The Lox, Lil Cease, Jay Z,. I can’t remember if Faith Evans was there or if Nas and 112 were, I wanna say yes but can’t remember right now . As bad as things are with Diddy now in 2024 , I will never forget this show. One of the best nights . Caught a great contact high too lol
