It amazes me that when he died his album was due 16 days later and there was NO VIDEO in circulation. I was only nine years old at the time so I can't recall if there were Life After Death commercials on TV. I only knew about the album because in January 1997 I saw a magazine ad saying the album was coming. I was HYPED. I don't know what kind of promoting they did nationwide prior to his death.

Wow Time waits for no man.. I was 30 years old at the time of his death. I remember going into a record shop in Brooklyn Ny on Nostrand avenue where I was living at that time. The name of the record shop was called birdel's. The owner said to me you just miss biggie he just stepped out. At that time he was preparing to go back California.
