Highly recommend the book the empowered wife. Especially if you struggle with showing respect to your husband in a way he wants to receive respect. It talks a lot about the way we as women talk to our men and how we can be hurting our relationship and not realize it. It’s just eye opening and gives you tips and lessons on other things as well. I feel like every wife should read that book.

Hi dears❤ Thank you for sharing your life and for being open to our opinions as well. I strongly believe it's no ok to use toys because the core of Sex from a biblical POV is that we should rely on each other as partners. For instance; masterbation or porn is not okay (always not ok) but especially in Marriage, because it makes one of the partners relies and depends on something/someone else other than your partner that you have a covenant with. The original design of God towards Marriage/sex and being ONE is that I need something that no one except my husband can give me and fulfill me and vice versa. We should be one in everything instead of depending on another source of enjoyment!! We should make each other happy as partners and to build a good communication in which we can have the best sex ever so we don't need any other source except each other. I definitely think God is all for pleasure in a marital union, however the use of toys can easily turn into a “longing for” or “craving” for that object rather than the spouse. It’s crucial to have regular heart checks to make sure intimacy with a spouse supersedes a machine. I can speak from experience that many women have used vibrators, etc. independently and that has kind of taken the place of a man and some husbands feel inadequate because women have trained their bodies to respond to that device only. It really is up to each individual couple and if there is a history of that usage then it might be a little bit more difficult. There may be seasons where it’s healthy to use and then through honest communication it might need to stop for a bit. Lots of women struggle to achieve pleasure and God isn’t against a little help for that as long as it doesn’t destroy the intimacy.

First let me applaud you both! Only a year of marriage and you already have acknowledged things in yourselves that you could work on to better your relationship. I love that you both own up to your own faults. That is what makes a lasting marriage. A lot of of couples think we’ll if he would just do this or that… but really once we change how we do or respond then the other person normally follows. So you both should be so proud! Married 18 years and that took us a good 3 years to learn! The other thing I I think Kyle said it perfectly but want to add… even when it might not seem like our spouse is actively following or seeking God we need to remember especially men will not always share their inner battles with their wives because they want to protect them from it. But even if all the do is say Jesus name or read the daily verse on their phone or heck even tell God they are mad at him. That is still seeking God and that is still a relationship with God. Everyone’s journey with God is different and sometimes we simply don’t have the emotional capability to read more that a sentence or even have the words to say in a prayer and that’s okay because God sees and knows there heart. The season will pass just keep praying for your spouse through their wilderness.

Hi, For me sex toys IS a no since I became a Christian, naturaly. When I didn't know Christ I used it...but now I see it as a disguting thing...sorry for those who still using it. But in Hebrew 13.4 it says" to honor the conjugal bed"and adding things to it...it's like saying to your partner you are not enought for my sexual pleasure...it should be something beautiful between 2 people...who try their best to enjoy the other without adding whatever. Adding one thing today will lead you to want other things tomorrow...and you will take pleasure with this toy without your partener...but God create man and woman to enjoy together...not apart. @@KianandKyle Hi, They need this conviction by the Holy Spirit...if they love Jesus and learn in His word, and want to follow His path it's something that should resonate in them...it's they relationship with Jesus. I was addicted to pornography some period inmy life but when I was touch by the Holy Spirit it's was natural for me to stop it..I see the disgrace in it...as masturbation etc... But sometimes when you are looking for pleasure in those things it's because something is missing in your life, in a way you are empty and need certain things to make you feel like alive, full. I would suggest those people to really take times with The Holy Spirit to have His point of view and also ask for prayers, maybe they will need deliverance. As Christians we should be sanctified, and it's not because we don't practice big sins, that means we are sanctified.

I want to one day get remarried but after being married to an abusive narcissist the thought of having to submit to any man is scary. I’m way to independent. Giving control over to someone else won’t be easy.

I hate to hear that you suffered through an abusive marriage! But let me encourage you in something. If/when you get remarried, submitting to your husband will not be so scary if he is a godly man. You'll be able to trust him spiritually, financially, intimately, because you'll know that, although he will be imperfect, he will be a man chasing after the heart of the Lord.

We did 10,000 miles in 3 months so a lot of time was in our car haha but we also didn't get too strict with our budget so it's hard to really break it down in full detail for you now. Whenever I think about confronting my husband I always pray first!! So many times the Lord has given me a peace and taken care of the issue without me having to say anything. Other times I have spoken to him, but praying before always helps me convey it with love

I think love and respect is a good book. But I think it promotes work. And all my 24 years I realized that work isn't the way to go. I think stop working. Trust God. I think the conversation about toys is different for every couple. If you both have a healthy relationship with toys then I’m sure in your marriage it’s ok. But if one partner is hyper focused on the toy or feels not comfortable with the toy then of course a reevaluation would be helpful. Just my opinion. I think for some couples it could be a negative thing for your sex life if you’ve had previous issues with toys or pornography. But that’s not the case for everyone I’m sure. It just depends on what’s healthy for you, your relationship with god, and your marriage.

Tonight, the preaching was about "the sanctification of the hands". Masturbation is a sin, sometimes more difficult to give up because it's not someone that we have to quitt but ourself, but it need a real conversion to Jesus Christ to understand that it is a sin and want to renounce it. "And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell." MATTHEW 5.30 And He was talking about "plastic objects.." that some people used and it's a selfish thing to used it, because it should be a pleasure share only between 2 partner in marriage, not one with and object or even the 2 of them, nothing should be add. People should ask for deliverance, because it's impudicity, sexual immorality that opened doors to the ennemy...and it can lead to divorce, infertility, spirit spouses...it's not because it's 2 married people that they don't practice impudicity...and you should be careful of what kind of personn you hang out with, that say they are christians, not to be hard and mean, but for your own sanctification, because we can say we are christians but just by name...and don't bare the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Always ask Jésus what He think and what you can say to this people. I pray that the Holy Spirit reveal sexual immorality and convict us to be pure and practice what is good in the eyes's of the Father in Jesus's name.

We couldn't agree more - when it comes to masturbation it's an absolute sin and there is a STRONG sexual spirit out there that is consuming a lot of us and we are in need of deliverance in more ways than one. But I'm curious to know where the Bible talks about a couple using sex toys together... you said nothing should be added... is that biblical? In selfish ways, I agree. However what about in non-selfish ways. We personally do not use them, but we know of people who the wife cannot get sexually satisfied without them, so they used them DURING sexual intercourse to help please her. I'm not sure I see a problem with that biblically. In fact, it seems like God is keeping their marriage together and strong sexually with the use of such toys, where as before when they didn't use them, their marriage was "falling apart". Any thoughts on this?

@@KianandKyle IS God keeping their mariage with this toys or themselves? God IS for mariage but He IS Saint, and I don't think He will allow such things just for the safety of the mariage. Often people confort them in they own perspectives...if a toy can give her satisfaction...but not her husband only there IS an issue somewhere... It's weird because this toys IS created to have the aspect of the man member and give a sort of pleasure that a Male member can give...but she already have her partner to give her that...it's more like something between them. They should find a way to get satisfy and know each other only together...not with something else...because it's clearly something else that give her what she wants...and when you use this kind of stuff...your brain can trick you, if you used it once and had pleasure with it, you will ask for it and thing this IS the only way to have pleasure. God IS love and correct the one He loves, so I Hope your friends won't stay in this position and will go further with this subjects...it's surely not a conviction for them...but even if it's not it doesn't mean it's not a sin...but not a sin in their eyes.

Sometimes it's conversations that we share that bring subjects that we never think about...and the Lord Can bring us more and more to knowledges.
