Here's a crazy move-in story for you: college starts on oct 1st for me and I was supposed to move into a dorm, but noooow (10 days before move-in) they tell us that there is an issue with the dorm building (something with security in case of emergency) and we have to wait 6 MONTHS. So I now have to spend the first weeks in AirBnB/hotels until I find something else. Oh and also, I'm a freshman moving to a city where I know absolutely nobody... So I definitely know what it feels like when things don't work out how you wanted! Loved the video though!!

If it makes you feel any better while moving into my house for school this year we not only forgot the screws for my bed frame but also the screws for my desk so my first couple nights were spent sleeping on a mattress on the floor surrounded by various disassembled furniture pieces till my dad could come back up to help me😂

Moving is SUPER stressful, so I feel your pain!!! I was moving out of my 4th and 5th floor (2-story) apartment in Chicago a few years ago, hired movers and all of that. We were supposed to be out of the apartment by 9am on the 1st, so the movers were scheduled to come at 6pm the night before. Well the movers get there and refuse to move us (after putting down a 50% down payment) because they only move from the 3rd floor and below if there is no elevator in the building, which we were not told when we booked the movers. We ended up having to rent a mini-van Zipcar and didn't sleep the entire night because we were making so many trips to our new apartment so we would be 100% moved out by 9am. Oof, girl, moving is never easy!!

My Daddy is a Pastor and we moved A LOT! One move when I was 4 we had a TV fall off the truck. My dad was driving the truck and had no idea his tv was flipping down the interstate. When we moved my Senior year of high school (which sucked) my parents hired movers. When they arrived they had a smallish truck partially covered with a tarp and it was supposed to storm the whole way. The rain was so bad we thought our furniture would be ruined, but by some miracle - (we prayed hard!) - nothing was ruined.

I rolled my ankle off a step and sprained it really bad the night before finals started my junior year and I had to move out of my apartment while on crutches. One of my roommates HATED my other roommate and me because of housing drama, so while I was trying to load my car (again, trying to go up and down stairs with boxes while on crutches), she kept adding things she didn't want onto my pile in the apartment. It was a great time. 10/10 would not recommend

I move to Eugene on Friday and I’m so excited to have my first apartment up there too! But nervous to be up there where I don’t know anyone 😅😅 when I moved to Medford last year I left ALL of my clothes hanging up in my room back in California and had to wear pajama T-shirt’s and shorts for the first month I was there 🤣🤣

I had packed up a bunch of boxes and put them into storage and I learned that I had forgotten to put a bunch of hangers in legit five minutes before I had to leave. And this is after I pulled an all nighter packing. Wonderful way to finish the first year at Oregon.

The vlog was great! I loved seeing how you organized everything! I know it's awful to be desillusioned, and have things not the way you expected, but maybe it was for the best! I'm very excited to see the end result! I don't have a crazy move-in story to make you laugh, but something else happened to me today that might make you laugh. I wasted four hours of my day in my car, in the train and in the subway to get to university (I live about 80 kilometers away, I know I'm crazy) just to have my one class cancelled. I got up at 5:30 am and I could've just slep in...

Don’t be stressed! It literally took me 4 days to move into my dorm room and get everything organized and the way I wanted. And then I didn’t put anything on my walls for almost a month and it drove me crazy! It will all come together in the end, so don’t worry too much!

I totally know how you feel when things don't go right on Move In! When I moved in as a freshman first semester, the room had slanted ceilings, the bed wouldn't loft, when I thought it would, and the arrangement of our furniture was terrible but my roommate wasn't available to fix it at the time so it was very stressful. This year, as a sophomore, when I moved into my apartment, it was 106 degrees and everyone was dying! Things are just never easy on move in day!
