Where do I go to school? I am a graduate from the University of Oregon with a major in Human Physiology with a minor in Media Studies. I just graduated nursing school in Portland, OR and work in pediatric hematology/oncology.

The little piggy is a great way to keep the kids entertain! For my job I keep things very simple and minimal in my workpack, I only bring my laptop and maybe the book that I am reading at the moment but something I just added is an "emergency bag" with some advil, wipes, extra pen, tide to go, gum etc. It has come more in handy than I thought it would.

I love those little light keychains. I work overnights in addiction rehab and so when I do bed checks it's super easy to have on my lanyard and use when I have to do my checks!

Nursing student but when doing clinicals and lecture, I make sure to keep Clorox wipes or wet ones to sanitize my surface & hands, snacks, tea bags/instant coffee, and a compact brush and mirror. All types of chargers on deck, nail care stuff, and tweezers too! I pretty much have almost everything you mentioned in your bag too (including the floss) 😭😭 over prepared a bit but everything has been asked for by my cohort so it works ig lol

More life update stuff! I have a new job which is amazing - I'm working remotely as a communications and marketing manager for an educational non profit! I'm MUCH happier and enjoying my work much better! I'm GRADUATING COLLEGE IN DECEMBER!! I'm thrilled and all of your college videos have been such a saving grace throughout my years and especially now that I'm finishing! Not a nurse, but as a Paramedic I always make sure to have multiple pens, a sharpie, my Raptor multi tool, and my AirPods. I always also have my laptop and iPad on me along with chargers for everything!

I have so much in my work bag, I should probably go through it and clean it out lol I keep an extra pair of scrubs in my bag (I don't have a locker assigned or I'd throw them in there). In IMC we deal mostly with body fluids from every orifice, but in adult and geriatric measurements from patients that have limited mobility--and differing orientations depending on the time since I work nights. I sincerely love every minute of care I provide, no matter what I'm cleaning from wherever it came from. One thing I keep in my bag that I've relied on more than I thought I would--a bottle of hydrogen peroxide to get blood or other stains off my light color scrubs (99% of the time the stain is from me, whether it's food or blood...a lot of my patients have dementia, sundowning is no joke...for real). I also keep mouthwash in my bag. I love spicy foods, but I don't want to breathe spicy nightshift breath on my patients at 0400 when I'm getting their vitals lol

I actually wear scrub bottoms and just don’t like scrub tops. I love the zipper pockets in my vest and my comfy long sleeves that I just wear for work and keep me warm cuz my floor is so cold:)

I work in oncology so everyone we care for has a weakened immune system so it really makes sense for us & I love it because I get sick less!
