I started out doing the 3 bead method and now I only do the 2 bead method. I'm 5 months into self taught. I will be going to school in the fall to become a licensed nail tech!

I feel like I learned a lot just from this quick 10 min video! I am curious though , about the cuticle prep ? I’ve seen other videos that I feel like wouldn’t have been satisfied with the prep in this video? Now I know this video wasn’t about cuticle prep but even if you prepped it a little more without showing the footage, we’d still be able to see the finished cuticle prep.. I guess what I’m trying to gauge is, how much is too much prep or too little ? I personally only work on my own hands and I find myself spending so much time on my cuticles trying to get them to look like other videos I’ve seen and I just want to know the correct way to do them 😫. Obviously you guys are the professionals so if what was done in this video is standard then I’ll take it ! Lol but I guess my first reaction was like “hold up” when I saw the state of the cuticle when you were at the step of tip sizing! Someone please correct me if I’m mistaken/misinformed ! I know there are a lot of nail profs out there that watch these vids! But again everything else about the video, loved it! ❤️

I am a retired licensed nail technician . I started with the Tammy Taylor nail system doing a pink and white sculptured nail set in under an hour. When I retired i wanted to try something new so I started using kiara sky gelly tips which I love but continued to use a different nail acrylic monomer and polymer. I decided to try kiara sky's acrylic system also. I am having the hardest time getting the product to set up.. I did buy the monomer enhancer to help accelerate the curing of the product but it still takes sooo long. I have a few clients I do at home and when doing a fill , the prep takes the longest, I apply the acrylic for the fill and have to wait for the product to set up. Am I expecting too much for this product line as I do notice every tutorial does mention this is a beginners product line? Help please. Thank you
