Thanks for detailed review. I'm in UK and have just setup a small solar system and plan to use one of these to avoid crazy electric prices. Nice one! 👍😎❤️

Good review. I just picked up an electric blanket but have yet to try it. Either the world is getting colder or I am getting older too quickly. Or both. haha.

Great review, thank you! 110 amps? 😬😬😬😬 that would be one scary high powered blanket! 😁

Thanks for this informative review. I was wondering how I might connect an electric blanket from my RTT mounted on top my car to the battery fixed to the floor behind the passenger seat. You provided the answer: Anderson plug to cig lighter extension cord. Whoop whoop. 👍

Great review Mate, I wished I had got the Kickass one now.I got the Aldi one just off or full power but now worry about the plug in 1/2 hour got very hot.
@Sawadventures67 Жыл бұрын
Thanks I haven’t had a chance to test out the Aldi’s blanket but I have a mate who did and he said yeah it gets really hot I do prefer having a switch that turns off after 45 minutes gives you peace of mind and if you get cold, just turn it back on again and having three temperature settings is a bonus I only ever use it on the lowest setting I find that’s warm enough 🇦🇺👍

Hi there, just wondering if you can put an electric blanket on a self inflating mattress without damaging it, and also, how did you not damage your sleeping bag outer material by using the blanket underneath your sleeping bags? Thanks

nice. probably get one next winter. this one seems to be over already:( Might get the undies though:)

Does the blanket have the heater element through the whole blanket or just half of the blanket area?
@Sawadventures67 Жыл бұрын
The whole thing 👍

Just curious if you possibly ever tried to run two kickass heated blankets on a double 12 volt outlet splitter?
@Sawadventures67 Жыл бұрын
No, I never tried it, but you could possibly do it if you had a good enough Setup and the correct amperage sockets, you would not want to overheat the wiring system

I'm thinking the better it works the more power it uses .

We are away camping at the moment had it on every night when we go to bed on the highest setting my battery is normally at about 92% in the morning still uses bugger all power

i bought 2 of these and just received them. I can't get the temperature to go above 80 degrees on either one and that is in a 72 degree room. WHat temperature were you able to get yours to? Other blankets state 100-130 degrees f so not sure if this will be good unless I got 2 defective blankets or maybe this is the temperature

Could I attach this to my Suzuki jimny rear socket? Or would it drain my car battery?
@Sawadventures672 жыл бұрын
It would probably flatten your car battery , you need it Plugged into a second battery preferably lithium cheers 👍

Got 2 of these yesterday. On high after 40 minutes I can barely feel the heat. Really disappointed with this product if that's how it works. You get some heat at the cable end, but the heat does not go through the entire blanket. In fact I came back after 45 minutes and it had switched off per instructions...but there wasn't even any heat on the bed lol...terrible. Warranty raised in the event I have a dud.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ve had mine for a few years now. Haven’t had any trouble with it. It heats up pretty good but you never know. They could have changed supplier or anything. Hope you get it sorted out. If you don’t let me know. I’ll see if I can talk to someone, cheers

@@Sawadventures67 thanks mate, warranty lodged so see how it goes. I have their oven and sandwich maker and never had issues.
@Portyhouse8 ай бұрын
@@Sawadventures67 Mate how do you run it into the RTT? I think that's the issue as it's now heating off my car's cig socket or a cig socket I have off my second battery but if I run an anderson to my RTT where I have a cig socket and some USB's it doesn't heat up. I've got 12awg wire but thinking I need heavier, even though it only pulls 4-5amps on high maybe it's sensitive to voltage drops...Have tested 3 of them? So would be interested to know what gauge wire you run up to those 2 cig sockets in your RTT.....cheers :).

I don’t have my rooftop tent any more and the electric blanket. I just plug into my Jack power station. It has a 10 amp cigarette lighter socket apart from that probably better talking to an electrician.
