I did Best of the Best last week and now I’m just in a martial arts mood so you’re getting Kickboxer now. I’ve planned out the next years worth of videos and Kickboxer was not on it at all and someone suggested it a couple weeks ago and here we are. So never stop requesting movies for me to do because I could just change everything and do that one. I'm crazy like that. So sound off! What are some of the movies that you need to see featured?

I have yet to see any confirmation on this, but I am pretty certain that this film is very loosely based on the fight between kickboxer Rick Roufus and Muay Thai boxer Changpuek Kiatsongrit. It's an amazing fight to watch, and was one of the first fights Westerners saw Muay Thai in. Roufus lost, and his younger brother Duke had a lot to say about the integrity of Changpuek (who won the 5th round after an extended series of leg and shin kicks, which Duke thought were really dirty). Duke then went on to learn Muay Thai, and for awhile was considered one of the top instructors and proponents of the same kicks that beat his brother. The parallels between this movie and that match and it's background are pretty close, is all I'm saying.

Although the glass is fiction, the use of ropes in place of wraps and gloves is how it used to be done traditionally. Those ropes seem like they would hurt more than enough to do damage a fighter even without glass anyway.

Kickboxer: A movie about a Belgian Actor with Shotokan Karate and Kickboxing background playing the role of an American Kickboxer with Muay Thai moves taught by a Chinese actor playing a Thai role, where he is about to fight Tong Po, a Thai Muay Thai Champion played by a Belgian Moroccan actor. They're fighting in Lumpini Stadium in Bankok Thailand. Throwing in the towel doesn't work in these fights. Aggression is absolutely encouraged. I think you're only allowed to fight in Lumpini Stadium if you have at least 300 professional Muay Thai fights...which is common for Thai residents who start at age 4 and fight once a week.

Yea in kickboxer 2 you find out tong po shot both of them literalky the same night when they go to take boat home to America jr shoots them as they get on boat. So yes their victory lasts about a couple hours then cody from step by step beats tong po like 4 more times but every time he wins tong po gets more evil and more powerful and ends up running a drug cartel and also shrinks by about a ft and about 100 lbs and all of sudden has weird accent. I actually beleive vandamme secretly plays him in #4 watch #4 and tell me you don’t think it’s possibly vandamme in make up ! 😂 😂 lol 😂
