Hey guys just a little different progress video today. Again, I am not a fighter nor do I intend to fight, I simply train with the heavy bag just to condition my body a bit more. Hope you guys enjoy the video. Thanks, JFreez.

That’s really nice progression for one month. One thing is when the bag starts swinging, try stopping it with a straight punch instead of holding it to practice getting range right. As it swings back take a small step back and punch forward, aim to meet the bag in front of you with your arm straight, stops it swinging and trains the straights nicely

for sure would be worth joining a proper kickboxing/muaythai gym before you make any bad habits

THIS. I self trained Muay Thai kicks for 2 years and developed a habit of staying flat footed. Also a major problem keeping my hips forward. Breaking the habit takes away from time you could be learning.

@@brownsound545 I’m self trained in MMA for roughly 3 years and I’m 16 years old right now. I’ve taken a VERY careful approach with my training, making sure I try my best not to make bad habits. I don’t have a good gym near me, there’s a gym but when I went there, it was a very toxic environment

@@gerog9703 everyone were just dickheads and toxic to me. And the trainers didn’t really have a good way of teaching, and the classes were heaps short and we didn’t have enough time to learn anything. It’s ok tho because I’m a couple of years I’m moving to Wollongong to train in Volkanovski’s gym. He’s the UFC Featherweight champion

You're in excellent shape and I was literally like you once, so hungry to fight lol. I would say go to a gym (I know they're expensive) but you'll develop skills you will never forget, pretty much like riding a bike. All the best to you bro and stay hungry!

For your high kick/low kick on none dominant leg, over step cut off the bag with lead leg exploded return 🙏🏽

These hands are lookin' heavy and super fast....A lot of trained ppl would have problems facing you..... Kicks don't look good but u can tell they got some power on them.....Only major problem with the hands u tend to drop the right hand after throwing it .... in general u a beast keep going and cosider fighting.... from a trained boxer

Wow. much improvement mate. Well done! I still dont like the the angle your front foot turns in when kicking but damn son, intensity is good!

throwing a roundhouse kick: 1. rotate hips 2. making sure you swing ur arms down (generating power and balance) 3. your feet that planted on the ground should pivot on the ball of ur feet when throwing a kick (this will max ur power) 4. your leg should not by fully extended when it comes in contact with the bag (should be slightly bent) therefore, you should imagine ur kicking through the bag that is when u generate the most power 5. should be aiming around the shin area I believe the power from the kick always starts from the feet upwards :))

Was waiting to watch your wrist break at the beginning. Wear gloves. The added weight is a better workout anyways. Strong kicks but start trainging with doing the splits. Then you'll be able to bring your legs to the correct height with some of your body and head kicks.

Insane bro keep the hard work !! But i advice you to involve in your workout this: *Jogging for 15 min *while jogging do the knee breakout and mecanic warm up and the calves exercises and fitness exercises also to build a nice shredded body! Then practise the punches and kicks and nice journey!

I don't normally like to say mean things online but please join a kickboxing gym if you're looking to improve, I can understand if it's just cardio but it seems like you've put in alot of effort and time to just stay the same. There's alot of bad things in here but the one that people haven't brout up is you not using gloves half the time, I can't stress enough use the gloves.

Heavy bag training can harm your actual performance. I've noticed you got into a bad habit of taking the eyes of the bag, get lazy with head and footwork, you don't get used to controling your punches when they miss, there is quite a lot that goes wrong with too much heavy bag training. But if it's for cardio and fun, great. Otherwise I would recommend joining a club of some sorts.

Maybe you can mitigate some of these by training the double end bag. It's a cheap piece of kit. But nothing comes close to actual sparring, you need to learn to read the opponent. If you want to get into martial arts, it's usually better to not train on your own as a beginner. Join a club and train there, learn it the right way, don't pick up bad habits.

in muay thai we learn not to kick with the foot, instead kicking with the shin

Kick with your shin, not your foot, and snap your arm out when you rotate your hips to get more power in your kick. Doing good for self taught but you should find a gym 🤝

I train in Kung fu and here’s just some advice- When your throwing your roundhouse, lift up your knees more before kicking and lean your body a bit backwards. When your kicking don’t drop your arms as it leaves it open and vulnerable to attacks. Also I would advise you to keep one arm in front of the other for better defense so when a punch come towards you, you can first block and the arm in front and if that fails, you second arm is there to protect you

Your body works better as a boxer. Learn boxing. Your hands are fast. Dont waist time on the bag it will slow you down. Keep fit and trim and cardio and egility and spar more.
