Kickboxing is one of the arts I have trained in the most, here I go through some ideas and drills to help develop an understanding of slipping inside the jab.

This is awesome! It should work for me since I'm shorter and most of my opponents are taller. This will help me get inside a little better. Thanks for the tutorial. I'm loving every bit of it.

Slipping is definitely an excellent tool when working with taller opponents, I am glad you found this of use, it is definitely one of my go to drills when introducing the concepts to people. Thanks for taking the time to watch and let me know what you think, it is much appreciated!!

Incredible video, as I'm someone who has just started sparring and is one of the smaller fighters in my gym this is what I have struggled with the most. 10/10 keep up the good work.

Hey, firstly, keep up the great work, sparring and training are two of the best things you can be doing with your time :-) Secondly, I am glad that you enjoyed this tutorial and found it useful. I have filmed a ridiculous amount of tutorials featuring other instructors but this is actually only the fifth one I have done of myself. Always great to hear positive feedback though so thanks for taking the time to comment!

Hi Stuart, I'm a great admirer of your video instruction materials! I have followed a lot of boxing videos, but I really like the way you try to simplify the exercises and bring it back to base. Your videos are of a very good quality showing from different sides how to practice, both in slow motion as well as in full speed. Thank you for that, it's a great help for me in training my students!

Hey, that is really great to hear. I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to watch and then comment such nice things. I have coached for a long time so just trying to replicate how I would do it in front of a group of people. You will have to let me know how your students have found the material!! Thanks again!!

Hey Stuart, how have you been man?, thanks for your tutorials man I really liked them a lot man, I told you that people would like to watch you man, you should really make more videos man, can you make more tutorials how to use pads? Because I have ones and I don't know how to use it that much, could you make more tutorial for pad working like head movements, also can you make some head movement tutorials?, I really apreciate what you have done man, I'm proud that your tutorials are really better than most coaches really, your specifications and details of the techniques, I'll watch couple more times your videos to Lear how to do those movements correctly and using pads, thanks a lot really man, hope you can make those videos for me man, and keep the hardwork man, your channel is getting more subscribers every time man, I actually learn more things from your channel than from my coaches really because some coaches they don't even have an open mind to accept new things from outside, thanks a lot really man, take care man!!!!!!!!!

Every coach is different, some will say slipping is not a great idea when kicks are being thrown as you can slip onto one. Personally, I think it is a strong defensive tactic when used in the right context. Glad you liked it!

great drills,I get nervous going inside the jab though,because of the danger of their right cross
@warriorcollective
@warriorcollective 7 жыл бұрын
The right cross is always a danger slipping inside but it is risk vs reward. Going inside results in more openings that can be taken advantage of but it has to be done quickly otherwise counters can be very unforgiving!
