What would sound better, two 10in CompRT or two 8in L7S? They will be going into a 2020 tundra Crewmax. Thanks

Hi Joe, rule of thumb would be if you're going for sound quality, choose round, if you're going for more output, choose square.

What amp would you recommend for 2 12” comp RT? Looking at CXA1200.1
@KICKER-AUDIO27 күн бұрын
The CXA1200.1 is perfect for two 12" CompRTs! You could also use the CXA800.1, but might be leaving juuuust a little meat on the bone. Though honestly not much. I've seen CXA800.1 "birth certificates" over 900W. The 12" CompRT has a max RMS rating of 500W, so two of those would have a max of 1000W.

Thanks for the video, good stuff. I have a question about my current build. I have AudioControl LC7i Black 6-Channel Line Output Converter, 2 after market amps(4ch amp and 2 ch amp(for subs) connecting to a factory Ford radio(i have no choice of using an after-market radio). I'm running 125watt rms to the doors(4ch) so I will use after market speaker cable, not factory internal speaker wire. So with this, im thinking these speaker wires will connect from 4ch amp to the door speakers, which makes sense but my question is where does the 2 sub speaker wire connect from the LC7i to the harness(im using PAC LPHFD31 harness) as the harness will only have the 4 pairs, not 6 which I would need?

The LC71 has 3 sets of outputs, not two. Channel 3 also accepts a remote level control, which is typically meant for a subwoofer amplifier. What would the kicker kisloc2 be low level Input or high level on the amp button ?
@KICKER-AUDIO Жыл бұрын
It would be equivalent to using the high level button.

I have a question though… these amps have four speaker terminals on them even though they are mono amps…. (Two positive and two negative) you did’t explain how they should be used (how the speaker should be hooked up to them
@KICKER-AUDIO Жыл бұрын
We did that for your convenience. Instead of having to shove multiple wires into a terminal to get series or parallel wiring, you can wire it to the terminals we provide on the amp. Check the instruction manual for more details.

So this setup don't work if u want good clean bass I put this same combo in my f150 and 3 days later it was pulled. The rt 10s are not for a sealed box.. I put the MOJO dual 8 truck box in and wow that's what got me happy sorry guys the kicker 10s and that sealed box just don't waste your money...

Did you guys verify that the body is steel and not aluminum on that ford?
@KICKER-AUDIO2 жыл бұрын
Not on camera, but we usually check with a meter to verify what the resistance is first. If its too high we look for an alternative, like the negative battery terminal.

Just put a clip light on all your amps please

@@KICKER-AUDIOclip lights should be standard on the amp and the remote. It will save speakers, “ warranty”claims and bad reviews of subwoofers due to damage from user error. “See the clip light blinking on the remote, turn your volume down”
