Cooper has been playing with basically a broke rt thumb all year since the Iowa game and getting surgery on it next week. I believe all 3 starting safeties were playing injured basically all year but love our youth behind them. Just feel bad for Beau ending his career with such a devastating injury.. love your show!

Martinez pointing at the ISU players when he was breaking off that long TD run, no clue how he didn't called for taunting. Hutchinson had a whole ass touchdown called back a few years ago for high stepping but yet, that dude can just point at players. At first, I thought it was him pointing at his guys but when he scored, he went out of his way to point at the ISU players. I'm not overly sensitive to that but that rubbed me the wrong way.

@41:30 Grant is so spot on. Players/coaches should have suspected a fake punt when everyone other than the punter was at the line of scrimmage plus the formation that Grant mentioned.

I thought a few of the refs looked like they wanted Miami to win. Here are some of the calls I had issues with: Alston landed past the 1-yard line on 3rd and 14 in the 3rd for a1st down, but the line judge spotted the ball at the 2, and ISU was forced to play a 4th down. And on the next play, Rocco appeared to have scored and they called a TD on the field, but the replay official reversed the call claiming his leg was down. At best, it was inconclusive and the call on the field should stand. At least it was a 1st down. And on the last drive in the 4th, I thought #0 interfered with Klotz, then the most obvious non-call when #15 pulled Alston's jersey in the end zone, but no PI call was made. Luckily, they called #20 for grabbing Burkle's jersey on the next play. It was too obvious not to call. Then a lot of holding in the end zone (Burkle) on the incomplete pass play. ISU had to work hard for this win, but we caught a break: Martinez played only 1m and change in the 4th. I believe he got injured after the hit by Neal at the start of the quarter and couldn't come back. (I thought Neal played great.)

I love how they leaned into the “Minor league baseball-esque” shticks. Fan engagement makes these bowls fun to watch!

If I am Sama, I request a redshirt year to make conversion to DB. It is where his NFL future potential lies.
