The one thing about the whole Bret/Vince thing that I respected Vince for is that he knew that he had a receipt coming and he took it. He didn't go into that room with his goon squad that is usually surounding him. He went in with Shane and nobody else. Everyone in Vinces circle who was there when it went down have all at some point said in interviews that he was told by the OGs in his circle (Brisco, Pat Patterson, Sgt Slaughter etc) that he needed to go see Bret man to man, and that he had a receipt coming and he had to man up and take it. And he did.

If I was Tony Khan, I'd have sat all of them down & said basically the same things you said. Except I'd have said "If you three still wanna fight it out, go to the parking lot outside the arena & get it out of your systems. Then, when you three are done, get back inside so we can figure this shit out." I know it may not be the best answer to a lot of people. You are so right about not letting people try to convince you to do things you don’t normally do in the ring. Yes, Brock had done that move earlier in his career but he was also younger, more athletic and lighter and didn’t just go 20 minutes with Kurt Angle in those earlier Instances . Especially if the person trying to talk you into it has never wrestled before or hasn’t wrestled in 30 years. This is exactly how Sid broke his leg. Vince Russo told him to jump off the top rope and do a big boot, which makes no sense. Sid weighed 320 pounds at the time was 6 foot eight. If there is that much weight coming down, you need to land on both legs that’s too much weight coming down on the leg and it’s snapped like a toothpick because Vince Russo is a moron and doesn’t know anything about how a wrestling match works. If you’re not comfortable with doing something, and this just doesn’t apply in wrestling in any job, if you don’t feel safe doing it, you need to go above the supervisor who’s asking you to do it. In most states, it is a part of the labor laws, that if you are asked to do something unsafe, you have every right to say no and if they fire you it’s a wrongful termination.

Here's how crazy the CM Punk shit is. People keep forgetting this and no one talks about it. Punk openly talked about wanting to bury the hatchet and is fully willing to work with the Bucks. Total bullshit. Bret signed a 20 year deal for half the money WCW offered (2.8 million a year), then Vince backed out because he said that he couldn't pay it. He wanted to restructure the deal to pay him less. Vince gave him his blessing to go to WCW. There's video proof, and Hart's book. Vince has a record of not paying people what he owes them. That's why he's in the situation he's in, because he didn't pay her either. The Park meeting was in Canada. No SWAT. They had police, but not SWAT. It was following Owen's death. Vince reneged on that deal too.

punk was the problem at all out hes the guy who went off script and went out of his way to bury the company and the people in it and told them to go to his locker room if they had a problem with it. then the bucks and kenny told punk they would sit down and try to work together if punk could go a certian amount of time without having a pysical altercations but punks ego couldnt allow that. punk wasn't their top guy punk could barely work a match without getting hurt. he missed more time with injuries than he actually worked. the problems punk brought with him wasnt worth the 5 matches a year you were going to get out of him. it would be dumb to fire most of your talent just to keep one guy whos injury prone and who's ego constantly got in the way and caused problems with everyone.
