I believe that the only time anyone ever makes the "pro wrestling is fake" claim is when they try to picture a pro wrestler in a full contact combat sports scenario. One of my favorite questions is: "If pro wrestling is not fake, why did CM Punk do so badly in MMA against fighters who weren't ever UFC level?" Stuntmen along with Actors get hurt all the time in Hollywood countless numbers of them have been paralyzed and even straight up killed on sets you dont see people getting mad when you call movies and tv make believe do you? As a tragic as wrestling can get I don't think a child has ever died in a wrestling ring like they have on sets. End of the day it is scripted entertainment sure many people have broken their bodies over it but the same is true of the entire movie and tv industry and it will never have the same public outlook as full-contact combat sports and imo it doesn't need to the craft is perfectly respectable as it is
