Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could kzbin.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

I lived in a gated golf course community in Port Orange, Florida. There was probably 8 or 9 lakes total that connected to each other. I caught numerous trophy bass over a period of several years. I don't ever remember getting skunked and had several trips where I caught a dozen or more nice bass...all released. I don't live there anymore but it spoiled me for life!

I've had quite a bit of luck fishing beds lately. I have a few super secret tricks that I use to snag those crafty and wary females. The fish are nearly done with the spawn in my area so I'm going to enjoy it while lasts. Then wait until next spring, lol.

The spawn is not that big of a deal if you can actually fish any other time of year I caught my biggest fish/fishes in strange weather conditions like really hot or really cold bed fishing is straight as easy as it gets
@LowBrowFishing2 жыл бұрын
@@rhondakaradunis4894 Bed fishing is easy if you aren't dealing with super-pressured waters, which I am. Imagine a tiny 650 acre lake packed with 100 boats. That's what I have to deal with. That makes any type of fishing more challenging.

Bed fishing is so exciting! The bass have such a distinct behavior. As a the fisherman, we all can observe that use that to our advantage. The more aggressive they are, the better chance we have to catching them. Make em angry and they'll bite! Jerk baits strive them crazy!
