My last bass was about 2 lbs on a tiny torpedo. ( old school) Unfortunately, I passed out shortly after that in the Az. heat. I broke my ankle and have not been out in about 6 weeks now. Sadly, someone stole a rod from me while I was unconsious. If a lady had not found me it could have been worse. Anyway, Enjoy the excitement you project when hooking up. At 66 yrs. old I am still the same way, but gonna be a while before I get out again. I keep inventorying my tackle and resetting my bag once a week. Gonna need to do some shopping soon. Tight lines. I have the same problem. I was out in the boat today for some topwater frog action. I got at least a dozen hits but couldn't hook them. One of them had to be at least a 6-pounder. It practically bent my rod over double.
