Everyone says Nikki Sixx can't play bass, but this seems intricate for the bass player of Motley Crue with a bad reputation that precedes him.
@billfraser14914 жыл бұрын
Yep i don't know why people say that about nikki because if you look bass lines of the others bass player rock band of the 80's (deff leppards poison and others) it's not better or it's the same
@joshtucker2314 жыл бұрын
@@billfraser1491 oh definitely. Most hair metal bassist where incompetent. Nikki wrote most of motely crues music wich is way better than the other guys.
@lawrencehall32664 жыл бұрын
I mean I see what you're saying, but that bassline isn't exactly difficult or intricate, so while Nikki Sixx might be able to play bass, the bassline just isn't that inventive or interesting. It's just following the guitar and playing root notes.
@The1994Gforce4 жыл бұрын
@@lawrencehall3266 Not to say it's intricate; more like, people say Nikki Sixx can't play simple riffs, but apparently, he can.

If you want to hear the truly original bass line i suggest you look for the bass olayalong of pauldelbelo. One of the best Version here on youtube to learn the true style of Nikki Sixx.

Because orignal bass track for this song is in real a midi track and was programmed by John Webster. The same thing is with bass for Painkiller by Judas Priest in this case because Ian Hill was sick that time and he could not played it by himself

Dude I have that same bass I love thunder birds! I love the sound it’s to so awesome some people think bassists are just failed guitarists and switched to bass which to be honest I did stop playing guitar it just didn’t feel like it was for me but when I was introduced to bass it was like love at first site my grandpa was in a band called the fifth back around 97-08 they broke up...my grandma came home with him to get introduced my mom dad and me I really don’t remember what happened that day but what I do know is that the next time I saw him he showed me a video of him playing live ( it’s on KZbin look up the fifth one more day or the gift those are the only ones on KZbin)and I was inspired by him he had a daughter named rylee a son named Ryder Rylee played the piano Ryder played drums And so I thought maybe I could learn a instrument so I tried to learn guitar but it didn’t seem right the first day it seemed wonderful but after my first lesson for guitar there was a hole in my heart then one day my grandpa showed me his bass nikki Sixx’s signature bass and played a Motley Crue song for me and I fell in love with it later that year he got me my very own bass I practiced twice a day I still do them on my birth day a year later he got me that thunder bird so bass is my life now!

All Nikki’s baselines were perfect for suiting the songs he wrote to me his bass fit the songs he wrote, bass doesn’t have to be complex to elevate a song, simple and in the pocket is great it really allowed for Mick’s riffs and Tommy’s drum work to standout! I have never listen to Motley Crue and was like that bass work is complex enough for me, I just jammed to the songs and love them! One of my favorite Motley Crue songs is Primal Scream and I love the bass in that and that bass line is awesome all the way thru! Matter of fact I never listen to a song and think the bass isn’t killer enough if someone is adding the right amount then the song should flow! That is just how I feel when listen to music 🎶 Great 👍 job by the way!
