I'm launching a Kickstarter to fund my next jazz mandolin album! I have grown so much since releasing my first solo album (2018), and I'm so excited to get this new music out into the world. For this album, I have five new original tunes largely inspired by latin jazz and Brazilian music, as well as a handful of fun arrangements of some jazz standards.
The album will be recorded in November the week before Thanksgiving at Compass Studios here in Nashville, TN and will feature some of my musician friends including Giovanni Rodriguez on electric bass, Jesus Agreda on drum kit, Eli Bishop on violin, Rory Hoffman on acoustic guitar, Alec Newnam on upright bass, Edwin Canito Garcia on upright bass, John Arrucci on percussion, and my wife Marcela Pinilla on vocals. There will also be a very special guest that I'm still keeping a secret...
As you know, it is very expensive to record. Funds will go toward paying the musicians, studio time, engineering fee, mixing, mastering, album design/artwork, printing CDs, and promotion. Check out this link kickstarter.co... to see the different ways you can contribute to the campaign, including pre-ordering the album, a mandolin workshop, a private lesson, or a private concert with me and my wife. The campaign will run for 30 days. I love you all and thank you so much for your support!
