@Cander51423 жыл бұрын
I think when they were saying “liquid oxygen” I don’t thing they meant literal liquid oxygen. Just canisters that supposedly filtered oxygen out of water passing through it. Not that it really mattered as it was all delusional BS.
@nitehawk863 жыл бұрын
Considering its boiling point is −182.96 °C. It would freeze your lungs solid if you tried to breathe it, unless you had some kind of serious machine to make it breathable like high altitude aircraft.
@AriettaTheWild173 жыл бұрын
Yeah whatever it was it probably wasn’t safe to breathe anyway, but it was also such a small amount that it would last 45 minutes so not even on par with scuba gear. Doubtful it was something that turned the oxygen in water via magic, since there’s no technology for this unlike for liquid oxygen, more likely compressed however since it’s something that is safe enough for home use, but anyone that’s seen one of those know that they are not exactly light. Even the oxygen compressors for air aren’t that small, but a no need to replace option for those that need extra oxygen occasionally rather than constantly. Yes there are these machines that can somehow get oxygen out of the air, but air does have more oxygen than water and they aren’t exactly the most portable things and I guess it depends on the model or something how much noise they make in the process. It’s medical equipment for home use and apart from knowing someone that has a machine like that I don’t know the specifics of how it works, only that it didn’t exactly come from Kickstarter but from a hospital and is considered more convenient than having to replace oxygen canisters

It would be nice if the cooling clothes were real. There are more than a few engineering issues in making self-cooling clothes which is part of why we don't have them in mass production at this point in time There are plenty of IRL uses for self-cooling clothes beyond increasing your metabolism thinking that will have you lose weight. Everybody remember the Omega Heat Dome on the West Coast of the States? Anybody heard of Fire Fighters? Anybody know of areas of the world where temperatures regularly can get to 50(deg) Centigrade? In the case of weight lost... there is a sign that colder environment can increase your metabolism. The issue is, you are more likely to accidentally put your body into starvation mode by not taking in enough food. Which will result in you GAINING weight, as your body decides it is not getting enough food coming in If you want to lose fat based weight--your best bet is to eat MORE food than usual and then exercise for the reason of being able to do stuff. Don't exercise to change your body shape as your primary goal--you won't get anywhere. Exercise so that you can jog for decent distances, go up stairs without getting winded and carry heavy ass shit. The fat will disappear as you improve your physical abilities. If it doesn't, and you are able to run up and down fifty flights of stairs hundreds of times... you being fat is no longer something to concentrate on But apart from the flawed weight loss idea (you are more likely to put your body into starvation mode via that method and GAIN fat weight)... there are plenty of locations and occupations on the planet that such a product would be very useful to have. I mean... I start to melt when temperatures rise above 25(deg)--I'd love clothes that could keep me okay in sunlight
