Here’s a question, if matter that is swirling around these two black holes, and some of that matter is propelled into the past, can the black holes actually make extra food to eat? Matter to consume, you know the thing. If the matter is sent back to where it was a week ago, then it would double in size, and around again, and quadruple, and on and on. rolling through the comments cause the clip annoyed me, and i want to answer the kids question ; Black holes cannot absorb each other, but they will fuse, as the smaller black hole will be pulled into the gravitational distortion of the larger black hole. the smaller black hole will then add its own gravitational distortion, and, eventually, the two will merge, with the larger original black hole exponentially increasing in size as a result.

@MrSupdup3 жыл бұрын
@@Zer-db1bp That's how this brand of time travel works. There's no parallel universes or alternate timelines, your physical matter would be in in two times at once - in the same universe. Which is partly why scientists dispute this conception of a black hole collision. It opens up opportunities for paradoxes that defy other laws of physics. Because lets suppose you get thrown back to the 80's, and then wait for yourself to come back 40 years later. You now exist in two places *at the same time*, and that's not allowed. Further you could interrupt yourself, stopping yourself from time travelling, creating an even deeper paradox. It seems more likely that Einstein's math just breaks in this scenario, the same way Newton's math breaks when you zoom in to the quantum level. We just haven't discovered a mathematical way to conceive of what happens in the event two black holes collide.

I did my student teaching in second grade. During that time, my brother died, but fir various reasons, I still went to school. While I was explaining the morning work, one child interrupted me (normally not acceptable, but it was cute in this case) and asked, "Miss G, are you awake?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Because your eyes still look like you're asleep." My heart melted one second, but then the next second I was panicking because I had to explain what happened without mentioning "brother," "died," "suicide" and without causing a million more questions. So I explained that I had upsetting news that morning, but was okay now and wanted it to be a good day. That instantly caused a million more questions, lol. So I kind of awkwardly said I needed to get back to the morning work. My cooperating teacher said she couldn't have done it better.

If you are talking about physical memory like magnetic tape, nothing happens to the actual memory. However the location of the memory gets deleted in the database (kind of like a table of contents) of files to be written over by your future files. So until you need more memory for something, the file still exists but your computer doesn’t know where it is because it doesn’t show up on the database.
