This movie is aptly titled. I must admit that twice I almost started to cut this off and watch something else. How true is it to never judge a book by its cover. The storyline held my attention, wondering how these two brothers/ men were going to end up. Thank goodness the girlfriend/ attorney showed up when she did. Even she played a pivotal role in helping the two brothers reconcile. The actors were phenomenal. The script was well written and realistic. The cinematography was -at least for me - a little confusing, but it still helped and enhanced the quality of the storyline. I'm not much of a judge for movies, but this one I want to include in my DVD/BLU-RAY collection. Three cheers for all who participated in the making of this fine piece of work.

An excellent movie with really good actors. This is an example of how so many people live their lives. I was in public education for almost four decades and saw this type of scenario happen so many times. We live in a broken world with broken people. Thank you for producing this film! This would be an excellent film to show young adults in a Psychology class.

yes it was really good agreed..not many times do you find a movie that actually compel you to watch it... I tell my friends who have become parents to always consider the relationship they have with their kids and parents.. . I had a tough time being a kid and it wasn't until I had gotten older, mid- 20s what a friend I had... I couldn't expect a person to love me like TV... sometimes the love is different... sometimes it's not what we expect...sometimes you have to dictate what sort of love you give and GET... but anger is what anger is and it takes many, many years to truly manage it... sometimes it's never managed but just quieted ..

When Lynch's Costume shop was used in this film, I immediately recognized it. It was at one time in Dearborn. Slinger's Baar and Grill used to be on Farmington Road in Livonia. This movie, "Kid Brother, " is now an important historical film. Both of these places used as the background set for major parts of the film are now permanently closed. Sadly, as victims of the Covid epidemic that ruined so many businesses in the Detroit area and Suburbs, they no longer exist. With that little known fact, I am honestly thrilled and grateful that I watched this film. Th actors were outstanding. They were real! The production crew and especially Indie Rights Movies should be extra proud of this endeavor. I loved it. I really, really loved it. At 72 years old, I cannot say that about too many featured films at the moment. Devin and Bryce, you both help create a masterpiece. The Detroit local is priceless, and I have a very good and close friend who indeed is a night custodian, like at a local college, so I understand Aaron's work. Alan, Tonya and Peter, your acting skills with a great script and director (with the entire production crew,) simply blew my mind away. You each are exceptional thespians. You performed and created a movie classic, a good film, as I'll say many times in my reflection of "Kid Brother." But what caught me off guard was that when I was a child, I remember visiting my Detroit family in these same living conditions as "Dad," What a stark memory that stirred sadness reminding me of my own abused childhood. I ended up with a positive outlook on life and this ending confirmed my love and joy for my own kid brother(s). But I needed this ending (thank you D and B). It was DAMN GOOD! My love to all of you. I know it has been a couple of years since this movie was filmed but it is so true today and when you first started this movie adventure. Much love for the center of the mitten especially to your production company and crew for a job well done. STANDING OVATION !!!!!

I can't understand why commenters are saying that this is a bad movie? This is a masterpiece film and I'm going to say the best goddamn film I've seen all week! It's not formula, it's totally original and it held this film critic from beginning to end and then at the end, I hungered for more because it was so believable and all untold truths came out from the characters, hence the actors who played them! A brilliant story...thanks be to the writers! Casting...excellent! I love this cast! Directing, brilliant...the vision came through! I could go on and on but today is my Birthday so I won't. Rating 10/10, two thumbs and two big toes up...

I love films like these. You don't hear about it, you're not expecting Oscar buzz but what you get is heart! I love indie films. I didnt know what to expect and went along with it - its a really relatable storyline and in the end you just root for these characters to find themselves one step closer to being happy or acceptance or just a better version of themselves - to heal trauma through support and one another.

if there's any way to explain absurdity, it should be through watching this movie OMG that big brother is such an absurd !!!!!
@jackmason29892 жыл бұрын
You didn't finish this ridiculous sentence. If you want to experience ridiculous first hand, try reading this illiterate sentence. An adjective influences a noun. You gave an adjective (absurd) but what does it modify? Exclamation marks? There is no noun. Would you be upset if I used all uppercase letters for this reply? Perhaps, because it is rude, right? I will allow extra points for the comma, and the correct spelling of through. To me, there is more than one sentence at play. For clarity, the end of the first half of your thought would read better with a period after movie. OMG could stand alone (or maybe with some !!!!!). It would be okay to use OMG to head the concluding sentence, which begs for a noun. You might gain traction by finishing your post with an inspired noun: what most bothers you about the Big Brother? Tell us. Otherwise we're left with a bowl of limped spaghetti-o's (How ridiculous!!!!!).
