Yo ive been trying to learn fighting game annotations for 2 years now and It still looks like god damned calculus to me. Maybe try adding the button inputs along with the annotations for us dumb folk? Would really appreciate it

@@Kfo221 Nothing I can do here unfortunately, I'd have to get inputs for PS4, XBox and Switch in addition to universal inputs which would be 4 times the work. Best I can do to help you out right now is give you an explanation on which button's which but you'll still have to be able to read the annotations yourself. Abbreviation = Full Name (PS4, Xbox, Switch) L = Light (Square, X, Y) M = Medium (Triangle, Y, X) H = Heavy (Circle, B, A) S = Special (Cross, A, B) X = L, M or H (just quicker to write 236X than 236L/M/H) SD = Superdash (R2, RT, ZR or H+S) DR = Dragon Rush (R1, RB, R or L+M) 236 = Quartercircle Forward (qcf) 214 = Quartercircle Back (qcb) 66 = dash forwards 44 = dash backwards 96 = Instand Airdash (IAD) j = jumping/aerial (jL is a Light in the air) jc = jump cancel (using your double jump to continue your combo) dl = delay

hey this is an awesome guide, as usual, it definitely helped my game a bunch, I do have a question though... @7:28 you mention that "jM is auto-timed to beat mindless reflecting"(after the 2S). I wonder how often this works because it hasn't for me. in one instance I set the cpu to reflect on block. In another instance, I recorded myself mashing reflect and set it to play on block. In both instances the cpu can reflect successfully. How often does this work on human opponents?

if theyre mashing reflect they'll get counterhit. i guess you can delay it very slightly and it should hit them regardless. alternatively you can do jS instead and youll still be +4 if they successfully reflect IIRC
