Before ya'll comment, yes I am aware he received a nerf to his super damage on the SS4 Gogeta patch. This character is definitely still S tier in my opinion. My opinion of Buu is actually that I think he is one of the most well designed characters in the game, despite the fact that I hate playing against him. I think that other characters should just be buffed to roughly around his level. The reason you may not see him as much is because he fairly difficult and has a higher skill expression than *SOME* S tier characters.

Even beyond those games; Kid Boo is consistently one of the best characters in every fighter the series has had, with MAYBE the exception of Ultimate Tenkaichi and Battle of Z, but those barely even count as fighting games as Ultimate Tenkaichi is more an "anime fight simulator" with rock/paper/scissors based gameplay and Battle of Z isn't remotely balanced like a normal fighting game due to it's RPG-esque classes.

I think it's cause of the ingrained idea that Kid Buu was the "final boss" of the franchise for so long. For years (before Battle of Gods revived the series) he was the final opponent fought, so it feels natural for developers to make him stand out as a powerful character

Technically Zamasu has received 2 nerfs: - 5LLL no longer is unscaled (this meant his tick throw was lethal, you only had one guess) - 2H is 2f slower. For some reason. I don't why this nerf exists. They buffed it in season 2 to be 15f then nerfed it back. I don't know why they did that. It's the only time I've seen Arc Sys revert something.

You could definitely make the case for bardock. However, people started dropping cell at the end of s1, while bardock and 16 stayed as the most popular picks in S1.

I really don't agree with the idea that he's well balanced. He literally only has upsides. He doesn't just have everything a character could want like Bardock, everything you could want Kid Buu has with all the strengths and literally none of the downsides that come with those strengths.
