This band brought the sizzle, fo' shizzle and the razzle and the dazzle! How this band escaped my purview from the 80's 90's 2k's 2k1's and up to end of 2024 is beyond me. I got me some catching up to do, I see here. A very healthy mix of Cab Calloway, James Brown and all kinds of Cuban and Latin Music delivered with Sass and Brass! Thanks Coati for preserving this music for us older folks to discover and re-discover.

Where was I during the eighties? Although I was well aware of doctor buzzard and a fan I never really knew about or appreciated kid Creole and the coconuts. Now at the age of 61 I think you guys were the best band I've ever seen! Salute!

I was there, but being still in my early-to-mid teens and more into Hard Rock and New Wave, this style of Music simply wasn't for me. But now, in my early 50's, I'm *loving* it! 😃 Especially together with the great stage show! 😊👍 My favourite Kid Creole & the Coconuts show is the _Rockpalast_ one from '82 🙂

Watching in 2020! Love this group! Only got into them in the last year. I remembered some oddball group on SNL in about 1980. As them do one number. Just barely recalled their name. Looked them up and that was it! Been spending hours watching them on KZbin. Cheryl is my special favorite...she's from just up the road in Frederick, MD. In her other life she was a teenage national track champion who went to college on a track scholarship. I think she's back there now in Frederick....wish I knew her. Probably still beautiful!

You people were realy great back then. I saw you live in Holland in 1982 (or was it 83...) and you were great. Having seen on KZbin all live shows I still enjoy every second of them. The girls were great and Kid and Coati are fantastic entertainers. Always singing and performing with heart and a big smile. Thanks for the great times I enjoyed in these years. Now I am 55 and reminiscing with this music.

Back in the day when you had your hit albums I was too young to visit concerts but always enjoyed the hits and the video's. This week I have been rediscovering your music as I stumbled upon one of these Kid Creole & The Coconuts live performances and was blown away by how good and how entertaining you boys and girls were live in concert. I am now in the process of finding as much footage as I can. Coati, thank you so much for posting all these amazing Kid Creole & The Coconuts concert video's and for communicating with your fans online...

EVERYONE! Great times ahead. Advancements in artificial intelligence and virtual reality will take all of these videos of older performances, clean them up, compute the resolution to super hi-res, compute the entire venue, band, performers and fans, including parts off camera, reproducing the acoustics of the performance venue, then allow you to position and reposition yourself anywhere in the audience or on stage in virtual reality. Trust me... if you enjoyed this on your little computer screen, just wait... until... you... are... there! Give it 10 to 20 years though.

Interesting how technology and media formats evolve, sometimes to the point of obsolescence. Who'd've thunk in the 80's that vinyl would fade, even worse, vinyl players would become antique collector's items relegated to the pickiest of audiophiles.
