This series of book is a literal strategy guide. Many pages are stages maps which I left out. As well as character profiles explaining how to defeat them. It’s also why stage 1 is so long and 3-4 are so short. Because most of the explanations are done early in the book. So there’s no need to repeat I guess. Thanks for watching as always 🍆

Such a literal adaption of the game, to the point of including game mechanics as part of its story. I think the Mario ones were a lot more successful in that regard for breaking out in weird and creative directions . But this was a still a fairly interesting experience.

Hey K.J my best Anchorman/DJ on GTV!! (Its Saber) - YOU are still one of the TOP BEST CHANNELS on You-Tube and this proves it once again!! The stuff you do is awesome. You put a lot of work into your episodes and damn if it doesn't show! Just so happens that many of the things you like and make just happen to be the things I really like! and adore! You've got such great honesty and integrity over all the years I've been a subscriber!! I really mean that. So many other channels just churn out video after video with very little actual deep content or interaction as they just want views. You've have repeatedly responded in person to viewer posts, even old ones, and you just don't see that on this side of the screen except for a first day or two and then that's it. They're off on the next one. This... covering original Manga from Japan with some guest appearances for other voices?? That's awesome. Kid Icarus was a favorite game of mine and I hated how they represented him in cartoons... like Captain N. It had it's moments as it was the only Nintendo-themed show until the Super Mario Bros - Super Show came out. Or was it the other way around? Ah, it was close and doesn't really matter. BTW - if you would like some help with stuff like this in the future, I've taken Voice Acting as well as Acting Classes plus I'm an Author for a living. I've done some Audio Books. You probably get this a lot, but sincerely, hit me up if your interested. I'd help for free as I wish all channels were like this... really! No BS!! You got my email address still, right?? Regardless, for reasons you'll see shortly. The Japanese Manga and Comics were always so much more faithful to the source material. I don't know what exactly the reason was in making it so different in "The West". Its like, if it was a cartoon, it had to be silly and specific items or characters didn't really have to look like they were supposed to or items that were needed just weren't there or did something different... whatever. THIS MANGA your reading is pretty damn on point from what I remember from the game. The items, what they did, the different enemies, etc. But I had a great friend from Japan in High School, he was a boarding student and didn't know as much English, so he was really quiet. But I was talking with him one day my Freshman year, trying to get him to feel better and open up, only to find he loved Nintendo, Sega, Manga, Anime... he showed me his dorm room and we become best friends very fast. I helped him with his English as well as how to drive in the snow and ice (it's terrifying for those who haven't experienced it! Likewise, he helped with learning Japanese and his Manga/Anime stash and well as his "Famicom!" (Nintendo version in Japan) TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE let me tell you!! I'd bring my Nintendo over to compare stuff and whoa... it was a different world for some of them. I don't know if you ever played "Renegade" but in Japan its totally different!! Its about a High Schooler who gets bullied and fights back against everybody! (We could relate as I invited him to join our Combat Club - Boxing/Martial Arts/Judo/Jujitsu) Anyway, the sprites and designs were all different. We put in Super Mario Bros 2 and I'm like... WHAT?! It was like the original Super Mario Bros with added stuff like Poison Mushrooms, Windy Conditions, etc. This was before the mainstream internet in 1989 or so, I had no idea how different and yet so much fun things were. Likewise, Kai loved the American versions of things. and we had a blast together with my Brother and another guy from South Korea named Ryan and we were a team... like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! We fit their personalities perfect (the original/mirage version - not the kid friendly cartoon) and our Martial Arts were central to our lives to becoming better people! What great friendships and awesome times we had!! Hey, do you know WHEN this manga was made? When I was in High School, my friend Kai had something that looked a lot like it. Seems very close to how I remember but I'm not sure. Its very accurate, as I mentioned before, to being so close to the game and how it actually progressed. Granted, that was about 30 years ago (damn, time is the ultimate end boss, isn't it?) Anyhoo, I can't remember for sure, but we both loved Kid Icarus. I always called one of the Silver games for the NES at the time for what it could do! Zelda was the Gold (literally) standard with Metroid and Kid Icarus tied for Silver at 2nd place, switching back and forth sometimes with Zelda II coming in at for the Bronze. But I had my personal favorites, of course for honorable mention. Like Blaster Master, River City Ransom, Renegade, Gradius, Double Dragon, TMNT, Ghosts n' Goblins,... oh man, those were some wonderful times and games to bring back Nostalgia!! (2:17) I wonder if that story was a bit exaggerated. Looks like Palutena got HERSELF stuck looking at t dimension of those bars around her head. Pit probably is going to need a battery operated chainsaw to get her out!! (6:11) I always get a kick out that part in the game as well, here you are in Ancient Greek Mythology and one of the things you can get/use... a Credit Card. Must be backed by the Bank of Olympus! (8:03) Looks like he's finished... "I'm Finished!" Isn't that the phrase Pit says when he's defeated? (10:50) Eggplant Wizard! Oh man, I remember this guy and how he pissed me off many times with his Eggplant curse. Arrrgghh!! At least you got to see a cute nurse! I wonder how THAT conversation plays out... Pit: (muffled voice) Yeah, I need some help. I've got this... Nurse: Eggplant Curse. Yep we can fix it. Please fill out this paperwork. Pit: (muffled) ..But I can't really see or do much. Can you help me? Nurse: Do you have Insurance? You'll need a co-pay with your credit card. Pit: (Muffling) It's Greek Cross and Mirror Shield. Now can you PLEASE help me with this damn thing!! (16:04) I remember seeing this thing and thinking... is that some kind of other name for a different breed of... Metroid?? (19:25:) Palutena Rewards Pit with a Farmer's Hat and Sickle... Pit:... Bruh! That's it?? Ya know I think I'll just shut this door back up... (Oh, the Please Comment with your Favorite part of the Book or the Game? Yeah, you should know by know its going to be a College Thesis. Still trying for that coveted "most comment" award!! Take care, GTV!! Awesome episode... as always. You never disappoint and your hard work shines through every time!! Thanks!

After you beat the game, you start up again with all your weapons and status, and the first room you enter (1-1) is actually a room that allows you to update your weapon. Incredibly clever game. Every time you power through the game your status goes up and up and up. Depending on the time, you may get a better status after beating medusa. :)

Another great video game manga presentation! Thank you for sharing these gems! My kids and I all watched this together. Do you plan to share a PDF or a collection of your scans of the pages?

Thanks josh! I’m glad you liked it. There’s a scan in the discord. Let me know if you use it or not. There’s a link in the description box
