Wait wasn't this manga about the events of Megaman 2 at first? Anyway, these independent stories get pretty dark pretty fast. I still remember the Legend of Zelda: Link's Adventure. It really fascinates me to see how the USA and Japan can interpret the same character completely differently. Like here: Japan sees Mega Man as a struggling samurai - type hero (as in his loyalty is constantly questioned, his real motivation is his duty in life, and he's a static Hero), while USA sees Mega Man as a Trick shot Ranger (as in he is deployed, his talent gets him through extremely dangerous situations, his duty and morals are one and the same). And that is something you don't hear talked about: the most famous of characters that appeared on the NES in the 80's and early 90's actually have duel personalities. The Japanese Mario is entirely different from the USA Mario-- hell the dynamic of the brothers are entirely different, The Japanese Link attitude is opposite of the USA Link, The Japanese Mega Man perspective on justice is addressed differently in USA. Japanese Samus is a completely different person than USA Samus, etc. Thanks for bringing these over. I am sure I'm not the only one that notice this.

This is definitely what I needed today. Love the excellent use of music, hearing the Protoman theme always gives me the best kind of flashbacks. From the ages of 5 to about 10 Megaman was my absolute favorite series, can still recall pouring over the Nintendo Power coverage of 4 and being so excited to hopefully get it for Christmas or my birthday. Thanks again for all the effort in bringing us a glimpse of the content I always wanted but never knew about.

Oh my gosh!!! The battle is so epic!!! Really, bravo! Adding the music and the narration is so pleasing and so cool! I kind of like that this branches off from MegaMan 3's story. It's cool seeing cameo's from Dr. Cossack, the MegaMan killers and more designs of robot masters made from other scientists. Wow thank you for covering this manga in a very nice way for consumers to take in! Appreciate all the hard work and please cover another MegaMan manga. :) Thank you! Also intentionally or not the designs of some of the military equipment matched that of commando man's armor. Random thing I noticed but it's still cool!

Yeah, the folks at Ruby-Spears probably thought that the Japanese designs were too cutesy and wouldn't make for good television. So, 'Murican musclebound (and super-feminine, almost sexualized, in Roll's case) action hero designs. What can you do when you don't know what you're doing with the source material? (In its defense, the Ruby-Spears designs are a hell of a mahoosive upgrade from that oddball 🐳💩 that DiC had goin' on with their versions of Megaman & Roll aka Megagirl in Captain N: The Game Master...)

Yessssss. Thanks for the second part of this series! Hope there's more mangas that cover the next games. My favorite part was the commercials. I've never seen the first one here in the States. But the second one for the TV show just reminds me of how they would play Mega man 10 mins before I had to leave for school. So I would be able to see the first third of each episode and NEVER get to see the conclusions... The tragedy of a pre youtube era. Keep up the great work!!

Great narration, break man, proto man or blues, call it what do You like. I feel that characther mr mengo i Saw in a old movie o the looney tunes. It's more the history based on megaman 5, but great. I've watched your videos on 1-4, and this one really stands out because it doesn't even try to follow the story or structure of the game, and more closely resembles the plot of Mega Man 5. I wonder what they will do with Mega Man 5, then, since they probably won't retread having an impostor Proto Man created by Wily kidnap Dr. Light and attack with an army of robots again. Maybe they'll draw from the Gameboy games, or have a completely original story. I suppose I could spoil myself by looking it up but I like the way you present these so I'll wait, like I used to back in the TV days.

Huh. It's curious how this manga despite being about Mega Man 3 incorporates elements from Mega Man 4 and 5, namely Dr. Cossack and a fake Proto Man respectively, as well as two of the Mega Man Killers from the Game Boy games. Kind of a bummer that Ballade didn't show up, but oh well. These mangas are certainly interesting, and I'm glad you decided to share them in these videos.

It was made after Megaman 5 and that’s because these weren’t made until 92 and written out of order. Who’s to say these things didn’t exist already and we just didn’t see them until when we did? Thanks for watching!

3:27 seems like a combination of Mega Man 4 and 5 and Bass (though I think this does a better job at the whole framing Proto Man as a terrorist thing then Mega Man 5)

Well yeah. See the order of publication was 4 5 6 1 2 and this one. It’s not actually “3” in the sense that it connects with that game. But I like the possibility that since Wily just keeps coming back year after year, the events and characters overlap a bit. I mean who is to say that Dr. C didn’t have his 8 robots built long ago?
