With this show, not only are they stranding children in the desert, there’s not even an actual kid nation to somewhat justify it.

How epic would it have been if the kids were just like 1 team was communist. 1 team was capitalist. 1 team was hierarchy. 1 team was socialist. Then there's this spot that you need to wash so you apply more strength but it's not going off so you use more strength and it's all a never ending cycle until you barely managed to wash a tiny percentage of that spot but your tired and then give up) Imagine that but with my 11 year old arm. Yeah, the town's economy would have suffered from a crippling liquidity crisis. They had no precious metals to mint or use to back a currency and no real way of injecting money into the system or of creating more money, so how would have an economy worked anyway? At best they would have had imaginary Kidbucks given to them by the producers but a huge issue there would be static amount of money where the amount of money in the system would never change. This all would've necessitated feudal like economy where only way to trade would be to barter one good for another or to exchange hours of labor for goods or different labor. e.g "I'll work 5 hours in your farm you give me x amount of that good".

@@Dendarang uh, where TF did you get the idea that the money supply has to be non-static? We ain't trading with aliens, so do you think that if governments stopped printing money the world economy would literally collapse? Money is like blood; it's not meant to come in from outside or leave inside, it's just meant to flow around and make shit work, only replenishing whatever is lost or destroyed; having not enough is going to be worse than having too much, but either will fuck you over; and politicians have an unending hunger to suck more and more of it from their people like livestock. (notable difference is that they suck money through inflation and taxes unlike blood which they suck from the jugular.)
