Fun fact: While Dio *despised* Jonathan, he also deeply respected him. This is shown in the fact that he refers to him and him alone as *Jojo* In his mind, none of the others are even worthy of the nickname.

The best part about the Polnareff scene is that every time he walked up the stairs, Dio had to use his power to stop time, get up, pick up Polnareff, walk him back down the stairs, and get back into his chair before time resumed. Over and over again. He could have killed him at any time and instead said, "nah imma just fuck with him a lil bit."

Something that must be made clear is that these are not the only things that are known about Dio, in part 4 for example, it talks about the spear that his Stand (The World) gave him, in part 5 we see his son as the protagonist and in part 6 we see his apprentice and his other childs, Even in part 7 (a total reset of the universe) we see him as Diego Brando, being one of the main antagonists, Dio is the true meaning of determination
