Homelander is basically comparable to Mark during season 1 of Invincible, which is to say Omni-man would stomp him with ease and Unlike Mark, Homelander is not getting any stronger.

@@accywacky2699 Homelander is more comparable to Mark when he had just got his powers, but later in Season 1 Mark definitely surpassed Homelander already.

@@azekel7687 Nah, Mark wasnt able to keep that half an appartment building up with his flight-strength, quite comparable to Homelander saying he cant lift an airplane to land safely. I'd say he's ahead of Homelander in some ways but also not quite in others. Hence why I say Season 1 Mark and Homelander are comparable in overall strength, speed, durability etc. And we all know that Mark season 1 stood absolutely no chance what so ever of beating Omni-man.

@@evanmiller4502 Invincible really doesnt, for all that homelander is weaker and has far less potential than a viltrumite, let alone Mark/Invincible has.. at the season 1 range invincible gets effed up and hurt by things that homelander canonically just isnt susceptible to, like humanity could not come up with a weapon capable of hurting the guy, let alone killing him. Mark season 1 meanwhile absolutely could get his bell rung, hell the clone twins + a few duplicates beat him bloody and broken early in season two and I honestly dont think they could have done that to Homelander, oh they could have knocked him around and such sure... but they wouldnt be able to draw blood. Once Mark gets to his dad's level though its a whole different story.

A lot of people have said that killing Debbie didn't really mean much, because Omni-Man sees her as a pet. Two things they fail to realise 1. In the comics, later on, you find that Omni-Man does truly love and care about Debbie and his son... 2. Even if he saw Debbie as a pet, wouldn't YOU be angry if some asshole broke into your house and killed your pet?

Exactly. People love their pets. They may emotionally prepare themselves to lose them due to a difference in lifespan... but owners bond with their pets, and that bond severed suddenly can be just as big a trauma as losing any other family member.

The question about whether Superman & Lois can get busy? Yeah, it's doable. The reason why Homelander's "partner" exploded is because he just didn't care. His only real self-discipline is tied up in preserving his PR image. However, Omni-Man successfully fathered a child with a normal human woman because he was raised, trained & experienced in maintaining self-discipline & even his moves in combat reflect efficiency in motion. In essence, Omni-Man knows how to control himself. Superman is much the same in discipline & a sense of responsibility...But where Omni-Man's disciplines come from his militaristic heritage, Superman was raised by the Kents with a strong sense of personal responsibility & compassion for humanity at large. Of course, Superman is also willing to go to any lengths necessary to ensure the safety of his friends & humanity at large, overall having a respect for life in all its forms...Even if going to those lengths means killing those threats that could not be stopped by any lesser means. There's a reason why Superman generally avoids making a kid & it has to do with general biology...Can the woman withstand the stresses & dangers of gestating a Kryptonian baby? At a certain stage of development in the womb, the kid might start kicking... Omni-Man wanted to "train" his son in Viltrumite ways but for Homelander, he merely wanted to make his point "plane" & clear.

Not to mention Superman is 99.9% of the time holding back. Even when fighting villains and getting knocked around he's holding back. He will almost never go all out.

@@Fordo007 He IS capable of killing a villain that can't be stopped any other way...He's been known to kill criminal Kryptonians that had escaped from the Phantom Zone because they not only had all of the same powers but outnumbered him as well. But yes, Supes will go to extreme effort & be willing to endure excruciating pain to try *finding* that other (non-lethal) way.

Can the kid be strong enough to endanger the mother tho? I mean, Kryptonians get strong after exposed to sunlight, no? Since that version from superman of Flashpoint was basically a normal guy after never being out there and just was imprisoned by military force underground. The kid is envolucred into the woman's body, unless the tiny bit of sunlight that passes through the skin and organs would be enough to power him up.

Not much point of a second fight. In Mortal Kombat they have to utterly nerf Omni-man (and Homelander really) to be on the level of the other Mortal Kombatants... Otherwise either one could kill the whole native cast of the game without even trying. And Omni-man would of course slaughter Homelander even if they Where somehow averaged out because he's far, Far better at fighting.

@@accywacky2699 Yep. Omni-man vs Homelander is quite literally like pitting a veteran soldier against a glorified bully. One has survived battles that potentially *could* have killed him through skill and discipline, while the other has never had to actually fight someone capable of legitimately threatening or defeating him. Homelander is used to getting his own way because there's practically nobody who can actually threaten him, so his bullying tactics can't ever be met with any real reprisal because nobody can actually hurt him. But when Homelander realizes that Omniman actually *can* stand up to him and hurt him? He *immediately* starts to freak out and panic, as he's never been in so much as a "fair" fight before, let alone a fight where he's very clearly outmatched. It's pretty much the first time Homelander has ever been told "No" and the person refusing him is actually capable of dealing with Homelander's "outbursts".

From which series? There's a ton from Invincible they didn't mention. I don't know that much about The Boys outside what I've completed of the show. Homelander is so weak he scales closer to Uber characters than Invincible ones from what I've seen, but I'm not a huge comics fan.
