Popeye is an old school cartoon character. Most Toons are reality defying super beings that can do whatever they damn well please. Bugs Bunny, The Mask, SpongeBob, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Roger Rabbit, and so on are near unstoppable as long as their writers and animators want them to be.

Of them all though, popeye is probably the strongest. Most reality warpers of their caliber don’t need to fight, but popeye actually likes to, limiting his power for the first part of the fight (very anime come to think of it) so he actually has martial skill.

Sometimes the analysis doesn’t effect the battle or death battle ignores it. Look at Ben vs lantern or Rick vs doctor. Both of these are wrong because they didn’t do the proper research or ignored their own analysis

I don't think it'll matter how strong Saitama gets against Popeye. Popeye is just on another level. DC even admitted Popeye can beat Superman by making a knockoff character named Captain Strong who, beat Supes ass and only lost because he overdosed on "radioactive seaweed." This episode is the pure definition of why characters with "Toon Force" are completely broken. Characters like Popeye and Bugs Bunny that use what is known as Toon Force are basically unkillable gods. Characters that use Toon Force can basically do ANYTHING as long as they get some enjoyment out of it and cannot be killed unless they fully allow themselves to be killed.
