Kidde 900-CUAR-V Smoke + Carbon Monoxide Voice Alarm

Just received the new Kidde 900-CUAR-V to replace my older model.

@@Photoelectric_Elevators The one I had is the KN-COSM-IB (from 2013) which was the model before KN-COSM-IBA superseded it.

Can anyone help with a link on how to actually install this model? Everyone only reviews it or shows set up.... where's the actual installation? Please help.

I don’t think mines talks but I’ve changed batt and it keeps making 3 short beeps then it quite for a while then the 3 beeps again

@doraalcazar4699 Most likely, you have is the 900-CUAR. The 900-CUAR-V is the one with voice.

I find it interesting that Kidde's own website does not show it unless you type the the specific model number in their search. Maybe the product is too new since mine has the date of May 13th.

@@SuperKiroChan Within the next few weeks, it may be on there. I had the feeling that they were gonna have it talk after we found out the original doesn’t. Only thing is: will they discontinue the non-talking version? Even if so, at least we still have HUSH MODE CANCELLED with this.

@@212Elevators That is a good question as it may confuse some folks unless they looked carefully. Initially when I saw the new design, I avoided this completely because it had no voice. I was hanging on since all of the KN-COSM-IB I had give the end-of-life signal recently, in which I just disconnected and removed the battery. As far is where I purchased this new voice model, I got it from homedepot.com.

I suggest you go to your local Home Depot to find any of Kidde's new alarms because it says all of the features on the box.

prob the only positive about this alarm, makes me like the BA and I think the BA sucks since it replaced the B series
