Great video and good fish. I have 6 of the 7ft sams super sensitive rods and love them. My 2 brands of crappie rods are the sams and mustad detector rods 7ft 2 inches.

Chartreuse trout magnet and jig catch hundreds here. 1 inch watermelon pearl gulp minnows work well on the trout magnet jig as well. 💪😎

Personally I like a fixed cork or simply swim a jig to find the right depth and whack spawners.

Does it always have to be with a slip cork? I use small bobbers, and they work as well. Is there a difference?

No, not always. Usually if I am fishing deeper than 3 ft or so, I will use a slip cork. 3 ft or shallower, I will use a fixed cork. Hard to cast a fixed cork 6-7 ft deep

Crappie spawn over a period of 45 days. No reason to rush it… wait for ideal conditions and go have fun.
