Oh my gosh! My kids LOVED the Oceaneer lab and club! We had to pry our 2 oldest kids out of there! They had a ball! Our youngest, who is 4, had fun but didnt want to stay as long as her brother and sister. One evening we had a Palo reservation, and on the way we got a message saying Emily wants to be picked up. We went to the club, told the cast member we had a Palo reservation, and she told us that they could keep her occupied till we were finished and she would be fine. They let me in to talk to her. She was curled up in a big chair in a room by herself watching Moana. I told her Momma and Daddy had an appointment but would be back soon to get her. She said she would stay in the big comfy chair and watch Moana.😊She was totally fine after that.

Yes Disney is really great about working with your child if you have an excursion, dinner, beverage tasting, etc. If you tell them that up front they will be happy to give your kiddo extra attention to keep them entertained! I bet your daughter was curled up watching Moana exactly where my daughter was curled up watching Spanish Beauty and the Beast :)

@amandacarroll96116 жыл бұрын
No cameras allowed in the kids clubs except during open house, when parents are with their kids. Privacy policy. But theres tons of character meet and greets where a photographer will take your picture. Be sure to check your Navigator (daily cruise schedule) so you dont miss your favorite characters!😊
@DisneyCruisers6 жыл бұрын
Yes.. everything Amanda said is accurate :) The characters do wander the ship throughout the day as well. Never a guarantee that you will see any, but if you do you can always stop and ask to get pics taken. I love seeing them around the ship because they are always wearing the most interesting outfits lol. Keep an eye out for them!

I wish I had known about the kid's club when we went. I'm sure my kid would have liked it. He's still happy, though. All he wanted to do was swim and drink sodas. :D (We expanded on that, thankfully.) Still *I* would have liked to tour during Open House. I have a big kid heart.

I know you have answered questions regarding tipping but this is slightly more specific. How does tipping work if you go to the sit down restaurants for breakfast or lunch since you do have the normal serving team? Do you tip at the end of each meal like a typical restaurant?
@DisneyCruisers6 жыл бұрын
Nope, no tipping needed there. Your serving team that you have every night will have different shifts during the day. You may find your server at the buffet, on castaway, or even in the main dining rooms for breakfast or lunch. So your tips that are included at the end of your cruise, part of your tips given to your waitstaff are to cover you seeing them at night, but then also the work the servers all do during the day. Hope that made sense. So when you are at breakfast or dinner in the dining room, when you are done, you just get up and leave. It is a really weird feeling at first lol.

Is there a “nursery” on castaway? We have a 2 year old and want to do an excursion. Do we leave her at the nursery on the ship or is there one on castaway?
@AbbyDee10156 жыл бұрын
OnceUponAVlog If I remember correctly, the kids clubs are closed during the stop at Castaway and instead Scuttle’s Cove is open for kids 3+. But they do keep the nursery on the ship open for children 2 and under. :)
@grondhero6 жыл бұрын
If I recall correctly, the nursery does charge for their service, but they do have a spot for pretty much ages up to 17.
@DisneyCruisers6 жыл бұрын
Correct :) Just check the navigator for hours, and remember, you do need to reserve your spot for the nursery. And make sure you take your WAVE phone with you.

You mentioned that the movie was in Spanish. Have you ever done the Mediterranean cruise? I want to with my girls but I wonder about the language. My daughters understand English as I am American and I talk to them in English but we currently live in spain and they speak Spanish at home. I sometimes hesitate to book the cruise thinking that they won’t speak or do the activities because of the language barrier. Does anyone know of the oceaneers club have multilingual Cast members?
@mommymarine17566 жыл бұрын
Karideplov yes, of course! We just came back from a Med cruise and there was so much diversity. We are currently in Japan and carried on a conversation with one of the cast members at Guest Services in Japanese. There are plenty that speak Spanish as well. Your kids will have a blast! My daughter made a friend that spoke Italian as her first language. They didn’t want to let each others’ hand go at one of the parties. They also planned to be in the kids’ club at the same time lol (she’s only 4!)

I haven't found another comment with this concern yet, but if there is one I'm sorry for being repetitive. We will be taking our first cruise next year, our daughters will be 3 and 5. The club says for ages 3-12, my concern is with the bigger kids. My kids are tiny things, I don't want to worry about an 11 year old bully rolling them over. Lets face it, not all kids are angels, not all kids play well with others. Has anyone else had this concern and can help me to understand before we go how the cast members look out for and handle this sort of thing?
@noelmarshalldavidson5 жыл бұрын
Hi. Do you know what time the kids club opens on embarkation day? There’s a champagne tasting I would love to go to at 2 pm on our upcoming cruise and I’m not sure if the clubs will be open at this time. Thanks. Love these videos. Have watched them all since we booked our cruise a month ago.
@DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
The kids clubs have open house until around 5:30 🙁 Unfortunately you will still have to have your kids with you at 2. The kids clubs open for secured programming around 530 on embarkation day.

The magic bans look great, do the kids get to keep them?
@DisneyCruisers6 жыл бұрын
You are allowed to keep them if you want. They will not work anywhere else though. On the last night just do not give them back to the Kid Club worker. You will be charged $12.95 on your account for each band you keep. If you return them, you will not be charged. If you have Disney Infinity you can place it on the console and unlock Disney Cruise decorations :)

If your kid is almost 3 and potty trained can they participate at all? Maybe during open house? Our 2 year old daughter would be bored in the nursery but would love Andy’s Room.
@DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
They would not be able to go into it alone.. but YES! Definitely go to the open houses! She would love playing in there😃 The open houses are the busiest on the first afternoon. Pay attention to the navigator throughout the week to see when there will be open houses. Usually one side of the kids club is an open house and the other side is closed. 👍🏻😃 However there are times when no open houses are going on.

Can siblings help each other in the bathroom? One of my kiddos is newly potty trained and might need help with his clothes.
@DisneyCruisers6 жыл бұрын
The requirement for the Kid Club is that the kid is able to use the bathroom by themselves. I am pretty sure though that there are no cast members hanging out around by the bathroom, so they could prob go in together and help each other. No guarantees, but the bathrooms have more than one stall so multiple kids will be in there at the same time. My daughter needed assistance with dirty underwear while she was in there and a cast member helped her out.

How do you register kids on kids’ club online? I tried I couldn’t! Thanks!
@DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
You do this during the online check in process. You can sign all of the paper work online and then the first time your kid goes to the club they just double check your check out secret word and give your child the Magic band. You do this part of the online checkin towards the beginning of the process before you choose a port arrival time 😃👍🏻

When they do serve the food it is in another section, and they do not make the kids eat it :) So if he doesn’t eat it will not be obvious - my kids don’t eat in there but they aren’t in there during the time the kids clubs serve dinner- my kids just play in the other rooms. They do have some cooking activities that the kids can do, so maybe skip those🤷♀️
