U couldn't be and say that with a straight face. The fact is yes. They can read sheet music and recite it all day. But the feel ain't there. Something is always off. Saying it's the most inspired is kinda a slap in the face. I can pull up 3 perfect replicas on youtube and if I wasnt high all the time I could string my axe up and record myself doing a 4th. It's amazing to get it to all work together, but that's the point of this class.
@MauBast7772 жыл бұрын
@@tonyb7615 Strange, you talk about "perfect replicas" and question my "inspired" claim. So you obviously missed the fact that THIS cover is inspired BECAUSE it's not a "replica", it's an actual original cover, not just a bunch of musicians trying to make an exact copy of the song...... I've seen every Slayer cover on KZbin over the years, most bands with reasonable musicians can''t even simply copy the song properly, while these kids not only sound great, but actually added their OWN vibe to the song.... THAT has nothing to do with "being able to read sheet music", THAT is simply natural talent - talent many pro-musicians (who can ALSO read sheet music...) fall short on.... So yeah, I'm saying it with a straight face : this kid band performed in an inspired & authentic way !
@tonyb76152 жыл бұрын
@@MauBast777 fair. I have 2 avenues for covers. The strict. The thrash metal band havok does the best slayer cover. But for artistic panache, I kinda insist u jump genres. I recently purchased a poster for this song and also a poster for War Ensemble, that featured these kids at an estate sale. I spent 8 years, playing Kerry King, in a Slayer tribute band called Chemical Warfare and Slayer is one of my all time favorite bands, so when I saw the posters for sale I was intrigued. I honestly thought at first that they were for some B horror movies or something like that so it wasn't until I got them home and looked more closely at them, then realized what they were for. The guys did a great job on the song and I loved that they added their own stuff in to it. The solo was very cool and I liked the added harmony in places, although some original harmony was omitted. I will keep these posters with all my Slayer stuff for sure! Great Job!!
