@MrPmj1979 - When this sketch was first aired, it seemed as though every celebrity in the world was going to jail. When in jail, they "found" religion" and the cross around Buddy's neck is a funny pun to that. This was such a groundbreaking skit in MANY ways. It's pure genius!

As a gay man you should be proud of Scott for being the only queer comic to play a flamboyant queer character during the AIDS crisis. Every other comic was a straight man punching down. And no one should have any issue with limp wrists, swishy walks or lisps because that is just misogyny directed at effeminate men. Effeminate men exist. Buddy isn't a mockery of them, but a celebration. The humour is dark because life can be dark. Scott grew up with a homophobic dad who tried to literally beat the gay out of him. Never be embarrassed or apologize for liking any of it.
