I used to work at Chipotle and nobody ever bought the kids meal or even really knew of its existence so those chocolate milks sat in the back for WAAAY longer than they probably should, and they're "shelf stable" too, so they're just sitting on the shelf next to the boxes. We were supposed to chuck them after the expiration date but half the time whoever went to get it didn't even check it. I'm not surprised it tasted nasty.
@TheCavemanBrown8 ай бұрын
I was a GM for Chipotle for 10 years here in Texas. Plenty of people know about it, they just know it’s a rip off unless you try and pull a food hack and basically get a bowl for half the price. The chocolate milk has a shelf life of 14 days even though the carts themselves have much longer expiration dates. You’re supposed to date the boxes they come in with a sharpie. Soon as the UTD is reached you’re supposed to through it out. Doesn’t surprise me about your experience though. After getting forced to go help out other stores in need I saw some crazy food violations. Unwashed lettuce, chicken, rice, beans, etc sitting on the line for hours not even meeting temperature. List goes on. Bottom line. Don’t eat at Chipotle.

I also worked at chipotle for a short period of time and I didn’t even know that they had a kids meal until this video. We only had these small “kid” chip bags that had exactly five chips inside. They always seemed to have me primarily cooking and bags chips so I’ve had the amounts they want in each bag size engrained in my mind, and yes they are very particular about the amount of chips are in each bag. I never ate chipotle food prior to working there, mostly because it’s overpriced and I could make the same thing at home for cheaper and with less worry of getting sick from contamination. Of course, I can only speak of the chipotles in my area. I only know of two and they both have two star ratings. I will never work for or eat at a chipotle again.

I miss the good ol days of the 90’s when Fastfood Kids’ Meals gave you Animated Disney movie toys, Sonic toys, Batman toys, and my favorites in Summer of 2001 we got Exclusive Bionicle characters from the Mata Nui Adventure Online Game in our McDonald’s happy meals and in Winter of 2001 we got LOTR light up and talk figures you could connect into a giant diorama surrounding the One Ring at Burger King … those were the days. As an adult I still have those displayed on my Nerd shelf. Kids today are missing out

10:54 when Charlie brings up the golden cards that McDonald's used to release I had a golden charizard exactly like that and I don't know where that is it pisses me off that I lost something that was so cool this video just reminded me of that and I didn't even know it was from McDonald's till now.

The 101 Dalmatians McDonald's toys from the 90s were my most favorite of all. I have a Digimon toy I got from Burger King in the early 2000s as well. There were some really great toys back in the day!
@NateIngy8 ай бұрын
I think part of the reason there’s a lack of toys is because Hollywood doesn’t make as many movies made for kids anymore. It feels like almost everything coming out these days is at least PG-13+, so there’s not that many movies for fast food places to do partnerships for toys with. I remember McDonald’s always updated their toys pretty frequently when I was a kid, and they usually had something to do with a movie or tv show.
@starseed32038 ай бұрын
Or the fact that kids have tables and phones in their faces and legit don’t play with toys anymore. Plus gaming consoles. The early 2000s/2010s was the last of the golden years
@TheSoldadoDan8 ай бұрын
Trust me there’s A LOT of entertainment directed towards kids, including movies and animated shows. They’re mostly in streaming platforms or on KZbin. Every time I hang out with my nephews they’re always into some new franchise I’ve never heard of

My understanding was that it was a push to create less plastic waste that turned into corporate greed because they had a valid excuse to not include actual value as a "toy" while keeping the price the same
