28:50 - she was referring to bathrooms, in the UK you use a string to operate the light/fan extractor combo. Rest of the house usually has your bog standard switches. Hotels on the other hand have switches on the outside of the bathroom, I believe the intent for this is for the user to have their hands dried before operating something that in essence is a just simple shallow (depth wise) mechanism that has a live mains wire behind it.
